Default Where is trans fill plug on 97 XK8 5hp24 trans

I have watched the videos of changing the trans oil but they never have a clear shot of WHERE the fill plug is located... anyone have helpful pic?

RHS of the gearbox just behind the exhaust pipe. A cut down allen key does the job, long series if you have it

Thanks for the reply Phanc,
But I don't have an allen head plug in that location... I have one on the left side (driver side) front that is about a 1/4 inch allen on about a 1/2-5/8 plug... could that be it.??

It's near the back on the right side, a couple of inches above the pan.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Here is what you are looking for. By the way to determine full is a special procedure with the engine running and in gear and filling to it barely drips back out.

Thanks guys... I found it... it is kinda hidden by the edge of the pan and exhaust pipe. I will fill per procedure.

' I will fill per procedure.'

Dont be too **** about it, it doesnt have to be exact to the procedure. The trick is to get it warm enough so the fluid is circulating through the cooler so the temperature that is mentioned can be higher but not less. If it was so critical the gearbox wouldn't work on an incline or going round corners!
