Default Will 17" Revolver Rims fit on my 02 XKR with Brembo Brakes?

Hi all, I am new to this Jaguar forum, but have owned several Jag's over the years. I'm looking forward to sharing knowledge with fellow Jaguar enthusiast.

Shortly once the weather turns, I will be having the front 2 rims on my 02 XKR reconditioned (new SS trim rings & tires.) My car has the factory Brembo package brake setup..... I imagine this will take the shop a day or 2 to complete my rims & I would rather not leave the car on jacks in the garage. I have a spare set of 17" XK8 'revolver' wheels.... will these rims fit on my XKR temporarily? I do not intend on driving the car with these. My concern is clearances of the caliper to back of rim.

Has anyone fitted 17" revolvers to an XKR (w/ Brembo brake setup)?

Also attached is a pic of my car..... the 99 XK8 convert belongs to my father!

Thanks in advance,
Mack Zeraldo

I am almost positive it will not fit. These Revolver wheels are just too small.

The other "free" option is to fit the spare (Hydra?) tire/wheel from the trunk, and have the work done one wheel at a time...

This is just a thought, and MAY NOT WORK, but if you're NOT going to drive it and only let it sit in your driveway, those revolver wheels MAY fit if you turn them inside out, in other words mount the outside of the wheel against the rotor. The dish will be to the outside, clearance for the caliper and rotors not be a problem.
Regards,

..and temporarily swop dad's spacesaver with one of the revolvers for the other.

Mental picture of following behind extra-wide track XK. Spacers - who needs 'em?

Now where did I put my medication...

They won't fit, in fact plenty of 18" wheels don't fit without spacers. Leave it on jackstands, it's only a couple of days.

I appreciate all of the responses & suggestions. Sounds like the 17" revolvers will not fit. Unfortunately the 99 XK8 uses a full spare (17" revolver) not a 'Hydra' space saver like the XKR's. I'm thinking my best bet is use the space saver in the trunk, and leave the scissors jack holding up the other side.
Glad I asked the question before trying to fit these 17" rims!

Thanks

I suppose there is one more shot: Maybe the Revolvers (or any of your spares) will fit in the rear (smaller brake rotor, smaller caliper), and you can use your current rear wheels on the front...

Just a thought.
