Need help with my xk8

The lights stay on I can't turn them

Any tips on how to fix

 

It seems to be a morning for lighting. Please follow the link below to the posting I did for Basher this morning. He has the same problem. It is most likely the lighting relay. There is a diagram in the posting showing the relay location.
Try it out and let us know the results.

thanks for the info unfortunately that relay does nothing not even turn the lights off
let me elaborate

the head lights stay on along with the dash lights,side marker lights in the front the tail lights and the rear side markers

if i put the automatic lights function on they stay on if i place the lights on off everything stays on except the headlights

i cant seem to find any relay that well turn off the front lights

 

Since it is all lights that does make a difference. What model year are we working on, so I can look at the correct diagrams. For the short term we might be able to pull a fuse, but it does sound as though you have a switch problem.
