Thumbs down XK8 off roading, Buffett, mud, longest car wash ever....

The wife and I took our beloved "Faith" on her first real road trip this weekend, Tulsa to Dallas for the Jimmy Buffett show is Frisco. We put almost 700 miles on her, ran flawlessly, gave us 24 mpg @ 75-80 mph average.

Only option for parking at the concert was in one of several open fields around the venue, not good but what are you gonna do. Did I mention all the rain there Friday night, well anyway:

We do a little mud boggin' acroos this field and find a prime spot right near the road on a hill (dry ground, BONUS!) safe spot for the car and quick get way after. We set up camp and start enjoying our "Jag-Gatin' "
All was well with the world.....so far.....

Time to go to the show: Pack the car up, button her down, give her a love pat, off we go to church! Great show, great crowd, killer seats (floor center 26th row!) 3 hours later with our Parrothead souls refreshed and refilled, we make the 1/2 mile walk back to the car...
Ahhh, there she is waitng for me to make her purr and growl, what could make the night more perfect........

WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Some idiot apparently got stuck right behind the car after we left and flung mud ALL, ALL! ALL!!! over the car. The Passenger qtr panel was solid coated an inch thick, trunk and soft top almost as bad, virtually every part of ther car had mud and giant clods stuckall over it!!!!!

We spent the next 20 minutes driving around Frisco at 11pm looking for a car wash through the dirt clods on the windshield. 30 minutes of washing and about 20 bucks worth of quarters and we had the mud off, didnt say car clean just mud off! see the unholy mess here:

Amazingly, It doesnt appear any damage was done, tommorow I'm giving her a nice deep hand wash and detail, coat of wax and a day off. We were not the only victims, a couple pulled into the car wash in a BMW Z3 with the same problem and whoever actually hit their car and left sheet metal damage so I guess we were lucky?!? Some people.........

Hmmm... I'm tempted to believe it was intentional.

we had that thought, but by the time we left for the show the etire field was full of cars and we watch many get stuck, and right behind us was very wet, being an optimistic nice fellow I'm gonna hope not, but that was our first impression.

There is a "d--K head " in every crowd it seems. Just give him a few beers and watch it before your eyes... Hopefully he got a DiWi later that night.

Yeah, and here I was thinking that Buffett fans were supposed to be "Parrot Heads!"

What an "a hole" got to have been done intentionally. Glad you had no damage.
