Hi Shaun, they're no different from standard XKR - the project car had a rear end out of the S Type for further adjustments.
The wheels are Jaguar 20" BBS size. Little bit of info here,

Sean, thanks do you happen to know the actuall spec because when I try to find wheels I'm still running into problems, ie I had a set shipped which were for a standard XKR and they didn;t fit so maybe they were simply the wrong size full stop.

When you say the stahdard 20" BBS R wheels what is the spec of these ?

Sorry to be ignorant on this but would appriciate the info.

Shaun,

Are you telling us that you have 1x of the 3x 2005 XKR-R's ever produced?

2005, XKR R oder SVO, leider nur 3Stck.(incl Prototyp) und somit und auch wegen der Merkmale, ein einzigartiges Exemplar der "Special Vehicle Operations"; Überrollkäfig, Helmablagen, S-Type Federung, Recaro Sitze, Alu Applikationen, 20" Detroit Felgen, Eibach Fdern vorne, Brembo Bremsen, 10 % erhöhte Laderdrehzahl, Doppelte Luftansaugung, 6 Gang manuelle Schaltung.
Sorry it's in German, but I couldn't find it in English, I will try to translate

2005 XKR-R or SVO, sadly only 3x produced (including the Prototype) an exclusive example of the "Special Vehicle Operations". Rollcage, Helmut something-or-others, S-Type suspension, Recaro Seats, Aluminium Finishing, 20" Detroit alloys, Eibach springs on the front, Brembo Brakes, 10% faster supercharger rpm, dual-exhaust, 6-speed manual transmission

Ummm, if they put S-Type suspension in it then maybe the 20" BBS Detriots have 108x5 PCD instead of the XK's 120.5x5???

Get your camera out mate, we wanna see some pics!!!!!

It's a German Jaguar Forum XKR S/C Silverstone - lohnt sich der Aufpreis?

So yours is really one of the 6-speed manual cars???

Oh BTW, welcome to the forum! You should stop by our New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum and introduce yourself.

I think there will be a lot of interest in your car

Be careful Shaun, there have been a lot of companies produce a short run of so called "special editions" with a few modified parts. I have seen 2 cars with an extra "R" badge when infact they were XKR's.

Cambo,

Really I'm not an expert or anything and I don;t think my car is one of the 3 your mentioning.

My model has XKR-R limited edition written on it and it's a 2005 model, things I can tell you:-

it has big red brembo brakes, R in the leather on the stearing wheel, polished metal pedals, black leather racing seats, no idea of brand because it's in the garage.

Every extra you can think of, ie the adative cruise control, etc...etc..

Just back to the main question of the thread, I'm still struggling to find out the wheel sizes, ie the ET , PCD so I can look for new wheels, I know I could get the garage to take one of the old ones off and see it there are markings on it but that will just cost me more money...

Is there a website or somewhere that I can look up the specifications of the vehicle say by number plate so I can get to the point of finding out exactly.

Just to add, I've owned it since 2006 and am the second owner, as far as I'm aware everything on it is original from Jag.

Is it a manual or an automatic?

The X100 XKR usually has a "staggered" wheel setup, i.e. the rear wheels are wider than the fronts.

Fronts in 20" being 9" wide, rears being 10" wide, PCD 120.65x5 and ET25 for both front & rear.

Automatic.

So what does the XKR-R mean, is the "-R" just a package option or something ?

So sorry if I've misslead by putting SVO in the title it was the info a dealer gave me, but then what do they know , lol

Is the ETof 25 correct, given the large Brambo calapers ?, not really questioning it just want to be 100% sure.

Ok, we'll it certainly has XKR-R on the back of it, I'll be collecting it from its service soon so I can take as many pictures and post them as needed.

I guess the question is, how can it be checked, is there something on the log book ? , I've owned it for 6 years as the second owner and never taken any notice of the dash R on the back or the different brakes etc...

Happy to post any info required as long as I know what that is.

I have never heard of or seen any reference to a 2005 XKR-R They made a 2001 XKR-R Prototype One-off concept by Jaguar Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) - see the registration. Details at Jaguar XKR-R Concept .The first I've heard of 3 2005's was in Cambos post from a German forum. It will be interesting to see the photos when you get them posted.

What you are describing sounds (I think) like the R performance package, the red brakes and all that. I think it also had large sway bars, stiffer spring and different damping.

I didn't think they had extra badging on the outside but it's not inconceivable. I think the pics will say a lot and I know I want to see what this mystery car looks like.

Eshezo,

I think you stated in an earlier reply that yours is an automatic. The SVO XKR-R prototypes were manual transmissions based on my limited research.

Maybe you have some aftermarket upgrades as suggested earlier? And maybe an aftermarket badge?

Ok, I'm now frustrated myself, I originally posted purely in regard to the wheels only to then get not he interesting discussion regarding the model of my XKR.

Unfortunately I can't take any pictures until I collect it, the service is complete a new ballast unit to the headlamp is fitted, just the wheels to go and I haven't sourced them yet.

I'm now desperate to re look at the badge on it because I'm beginning to wonder if there something about it, maybe it is aftermarket stuff but I doubt it given I've been the main owner of it and I know where it came from.

Anyway I assure you I will do plenty of pictures as soon as I can and we can go from here.

I tend to agree and think my XKR is simply one with the R performance package on it, I really don't want to mislead anyone or make anyone think there is something here that's not.

Anyway can't do anything further until I see it again and can look into it, when I do I'll post again.
