    Hey OregonJag.

I believe I have the same problem you detailed in a post with detailed instructions. I have a 1998 XK8, owned since new with about 106000 km. It has been very trouble free - replaced the front wheel bearings. Now it is displaying the "engine fail safe mode" message and the cruise drops out. It only happens after the car is hot and it goes away after the car warms up. No longer have access to a garage (used to own a ranch with lots of tools and space to fix things, including my ancient aircraft). Believe I've found a reliable shop capable of doing the repair, but I'd like to go armed with as much information as possible (I'll scan the car also). Is there a link to the detailed instructions you had for repairing the APP/TBS? I'd like to the a copy to the repair place. You can email me at ian.e.hutcheon@gmail.com, if you have the time. Thanks, Ian

Saw your front coil spring post and thought maybe you measured the height of the new spring? Measured mine uncompressed at almost 15" (14 7/8"). You can email me at zeecat@cox.net. Thanks, Bob

I'm a new forum member and Jag owner here in Portland - 1990 XJS -
and I wondered if you belong to any Jag Club in the area?

If so, is it a good group?

Thanks, appreciate any info, & Happy Motoring!
