Same happened to me last year. Oil changes were recorded each at 4K miles and the big end bearing still went. The engine was built in 2017 and had done only 34K miles. I know this is extremely rare...
Wow, that was unfortunate !. Thanks for the oil tip, things like that should simply not occur...

It still could be the bulbs. I assume you know that even though the light for high AND low beam are originating from the same bulbs, the light for high and low comes from different filaments inside...

Unfortunately I don't have any experience of the 4 cylinder engine. The diesel is a bad idea but the gas one seems to be very reliable. I love my older 3.0 so would go for it if I had the budget.
