Been through a few unexpected huge downpours over years, and never had any leakage.

Your top should not leak. If it does, it’s most likely from the rear window detaching. There are many threads on that issue.

@yamie1 What do you expect from a 20-year old used car? You didn't tell us enough about it. Nevertheless, don't forget to bring waterproof tape and towels on your trip.

Good luck, and make sure your battery is fully charged!

My XKR is a 2009 5.0 litre but I believe the hood is the same. My car has done 122,000 miles and lives outdoors all year round. It has the original hood. It has never leaked. Occasionally after heavy rain I notice that the seat belt feels slightly damp when I pull it out. When the hood is up passengers often remark how like a hard top it is. I do waterproof the hood now and again, usually with Autoglym product but once I had it professionally re-treated (and wasn't particularly impressed but that's another story).

I have a 2008 XKR with 165 000 km (100000 mls i suppose ) on it. We drove it all over Europe , Alps as well as Pyreenees with anny kind of weather. It never ever leaked!

Default 3 cars

Owned 3 of these..

Zero leaks...

Probably one of the best aspects of the model..
