Corolla or Yaris
Smart for two
Actually with the aforementioned toyotas, it's not embarrassment, I just hate them. I really hate them. Each time I see a green one, it looks to me like if someone is driving a four wheeled booger. Also, explain to me, why a 2013 car that is supposed to be sensible and efficient, still has a miniaturized leprechaun shifting the cogs on the stupid stupid unbelievably and inconceivably idiotic transmission?
Same goes for the Smart. It's like the little guy down there has had chronic bout of amnesia and he's thinking "What's my job here? What do I have to do? Do I have to grate swiss cheese? Am I a cashier down at the local fast food restaurant? Do I have a medical degree? Oh, now I remember! I'm a transmission. I have to swap some cogs and move some gears. Now how do I do that?"
The french and the japs really screwed the pooch on that, and the amazing thing is they still sell millions of them! The world is going down the drain. People can't perform any critical thinking, they can't weigh their options and realize that there are better cars and that the brand they buy isn't worth all of its hype.

Not that I hate small cars..plenty that are just fine... It would almost be OK if they were just bland, but no.. They handled horribly, were uncomfortable to drive even for a brief moment... and my Chrysler has better quality feeling interior than either of them... and I have gone on record saying my 300 has a crap interior.....
Yet Toyota makes a great truck... go figure....

Maybe a big 4 door Buick Electra an acquaintance of mine had. It was a mid or late '70s, boat of a car. Most of the floor had rotted away, so in it's place were planks of wood with gaps between allowing the road to be seen. There was no rear seat. A lawn chair was in it's place.
I was going to say a relative's early '70s AMC that had clothesline from the wiper arm in thru the vent window so when it would rain, the driver would have to pull the rope to get the wipers to work, but I think Flintstone Buick beats that.

Aha, where do I start, Ford Ka, (aka shoe-box for 1 shoe)(Vauxhall, my Dad loves 'em! Astra (I'm tall) and Vectra, the hand brakes are NAFF! And a Citylink Tansit LWB, which had been side-walled along the driver side and they still wanted me to drive it!!!
Oh, and the driver door which wouldn't close, leaving a 1 inch gap, meaning I got soaked if it rained and it did, it poured!!!! I had flu for 5 days after!!! And every time I opened any door the alarms went off and I ws supposed to DELIVER! ooh and this model seemingly came without a fuel cap!!!!
Oh and a Mecedes Vito van, the handbrake is in the dash, WEIRD!!!
And why do people buy cars in KAWASAKI GREEN, yes if it's a Kawasaki Bike, COOL!
CAR, er No! And let's face it any luminous colour that can be seen from space, NO!
I think the funniest drive was a crash course in driving an ex partners car to the garage and trying to change gear along the way, no no no not in a Hyandai Tuscon AUTOMATIC!!! It was fun though and taught me a lot about automatic vehicles, I think there's a lesson in there somewhere! Keep Smiling and keep this post going, it's helping me vent off!!! Happy Days! A bad one along the way is reassuring to remind you of the way the things should be every single day! ATB Stu
Ps, I've had a good chuckle here, thanks and kudos to you all!

Such a vehicle doesn't exist for me!
But then I am a true petrolhead... If it has an internal combustion engine, then I will have some interest.
My Jaguar is for comfort, my Trans Am is for the grin factor and my motorcycle is for performance.
The common denominator here is, they all have an engine.

Has anyone mentioned the Nissan Juke?
Attachment 50385

It's even funnier looking in person.

Pros: "Peppy", good MPG, power everything, supportive leather seats, good forward and side visibility. Looking out over the hood reminds my of my '77 Spitfire or a 911. A really tight turning radius makes it easy to park. Comfortable to get in and out of the front.
Cons: not much over the shoulder visibility, not much trunk space unless you fold down the back seats, the CVT transmission is LOUSY off the line, no torque until the turbo kicks in, plastic dash and door panels that would make Detroit proud (my '85 VW GTI had better dash material, and back seats only a pre-teen could love.
But my wife is paying for it so I can't complain really.

Never liked the Silver Shadow, square and boxy with slab sides that replaced the more traditional Silver Cloud. When it was introduced it was not well received. It still remains to be the most mechanically complex vehicles Rolls Royce ever came up with.
And then to top that the Rolls Royce Camargue, it was never really liked and never caught on.
Rolls-Royce Camargue
The car looks small in the photos, but is very big, heavy and clunky.
