I've decided to scratch a longtime itch and do a SBC swap into an XJS. I have always loved the lines of the body but after maintaining 3 of them, I want to build a V8 one and do some cross country driving with it. The car is a 2 owner 88 that was parked for about 8 years. I changed fluids and did a few checks, drained fuel, refilled and she fired right up. I was amazed that it still had the original plug wires, plugs, belts and fuel filter. I currently have the back end of the car out rebuilding it but the engine can be started and heard run. I am including with it, new air filters, iridium plugs, wires, trans filter kit, a few oil filters, all new belts. I drove the car 3 times before pulling the rear end out and it never overheated, trans shifted thru all gears just fine. Asking $1800 obo for engine and Trans along with ECU, Radiator and all belt driven accessories.. Serious offers only. I will need a $500 deposit after you hear it run, then I will pull it an you pay balance on pickup.
