download,
burn with any software to a blank DVD and finalize.
Eject your nav disc and insert the loading.kwi disc
remove your keys for 30 seconds
start your car
everything should be ok after about 5-15 mins

Although I am new and don't like to ask for help straight off the bat but I'm having the same troubles as it seems a few have with my blank screen.
Is it possible to possible to some help to get it back working too as mine had done the very same thing today.
I've got a 2001 3.0 x type but don't have any s/w discs or radio code for it.

I may be doing it wrong but ive downloaded the link for the 2002 blank screen problem but the computer wont/cant unzip it to burn a copy of it.
have installed winzip butit still doesn't seem to do anything.
have burned a disc of with just the program itself so will try that next in car.
do I leave the car running for 15 mins with the disk in? cos cant leave it in the acc position as the fan wont turn off so would flatten the battery.

Thanyou for the link. Will give it a go tomorrow snd see if I can get it all working once more.
just burning the disc now, it seems the program zip7 may of unzipped it as it became a 7k program instead of a 3k one.
fingers crossed.

Well been out and had disc in but to no avail, seems it's going to be a rather overpriced trip to jaguar during the week.
Many thanks for your help tho, your way probably will work for those that have a clue with computers but I'm much better with the spanners than I am with a keyboard.

Would you be able to burn a copy to disc for me please so I know it's all done right and and I will pay you via PayPal (obviously before you send it).
It's just that Im using my inlaws pc as I've just moved house and not got Internet sorted out here yet.

 

Have now tried this on 4dvd discs and still have nothing
Looks like a trip to jaguar sometime this week.

How did this problem start?
did you get into the hidden menu and press the update button or did your screen just go blank?
what year NAV disc do you have?
If your screen just went blank I need you to try a few things.
Passenger side footwell(UK) drivers side (US) you will find some plugs tucked up there check that they are all plugged in. pay close attention to the Green one this is the one that has the data connection between the DVD unit in the back and the Screen.
also listen to the DVD unit can you hear the disc spin up when someone turns on the ignition?

 

I tried to reset the Sat nav through the hidden menu due to the dvd always coming up with the error message The disc installed is not a map dvd.
Its the original disc for the car(2001).
The dvd has power and is spinning the disc when inserted.

that is good news. You have 2 options here
1, Get a used Nav disk from Ebay or somewhere like that for your area the year is unimportant but I would go with the latest you can comfortably afford.

2, borrow a disc of someone.

How would a newer version make the screen work any more than the original 2001 disc? Do the newer discs have the firmware upload built in them that a old one doesnt have?

 

Yes anything newer that 2008 has the new firmware.
