Another non starting jag
Hi guys,
Apologies if this has already been covered but I have been trawling the forum for what seems like days and can't find an answer to my specific problem so hoping someone might be able to help.
The jag currently sits as so:
Will turn over on the key but won't start, there is diesel getting to the fuel rails. Have tried bump starting using another car to tow. Have also sprayed easy start direct in to the air intake and it won't even run for a few seconds.
Have already replaced the following:
Egr valve
Crank shaft sensor
Cam shaft sensor
New turbo.....don't ask!!
Fuel filter
This has my mechanic stumped and we are now at the point of putting a new engine in but this seems a bit drastic especially as the car only has 80k on the clock
Any help would be highly appreciated.

Andy,
I suggest a repost in the X Type Tech Section, where the people with the same system will see it quicker than in here.
The UK is the prime market for the X Diesels, so your area will be the most help.
Does sound odd that Ether wont bang it, so somewhere I think its lost its compression. My diesel knowledge is purely the OLD heavy stuff, but the principle is still the same. Its gotta hve compression.

I've moved your question from General Tech Help to X-Type forum. Members here with the same model will be able to help.
When you get a minute, please follow this link New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the New Member Area - Intro a MUST forum and post some info about yourself and your vehicle for all members to see. In return you'll get a proper welcome and some useful advice about posting to the forum.
