Will these alloys pitt?

Seen these for sale and quite fancy a pair, however I once had a set of chrome alloys back in my boy racer years and they lasted about a month before they started pitting, don't know if it was the salt or just cheap crappy alloys.
Will the above be the same do you think?

Old school "real" electroplated chrome ("triple-plated") wheels will eventually peel when constantly exposed to salt air even if you maintain them meticulously. Deterioration begins as soon as the top layer is scratched or nicked. How long before this is noticeable is anybody's guess. This process uses hazardous materials and is not environmentally friendly. It can adversely affect wheel strength.
New school PVD coated wheels look just like chrome but won't peel since they're not "real" chrome. This process is similar to powder coating, with a base coat and a clear coat, and is more environmentally friendly. PVD does not affect wheel strength.
Most OEM "chrome" wheels today are PVD.
