Geez, you make it sound like Jaguar spared no expense on these cars.

I thought that possibly I was the only one that thought old Georgemcnally was being a bit snobbish but thanks to all you posters stating as much, I do not have to address old george at all. Old George doesn't even allow us to know where he lives. I suspect it isn't in a hot state.

Kumbaya My Lord.....

We're talking window tinting here, not the bankster bailouts or the fleecing of the American public by the 'Federal' Reserve.

Peace

My XJ6L looks elegant and sophisticated with it's tint. My Black XJS just looks BadA$$ with it, plain and simple.

Oh my! Jaguar engineers and optimal in the same sentence! Hilarious. You have a nice sedan, George but a Rolls it is not. An 18 year old sedan it is, and not something to rant about keeping original.
Cheers, RagJag

I tint all my cars and in my opinion, it improves the look, saves the interior from sun damage, and keeps the interior cooler. I like the look of darker tint, but at night it's a little dangerous. Use a professional and tell them you want to keep the car legal. They'll use lighter tint so it won't be hard to see at night.

BTW - tinting looks great on a convertible XJS!

I think dark tint only works well on certain colors. Last car I dark-tinted was in 1999 when I was 16. I would never use dark tint today on any vehicle for me.

My cars are British Racing Green and I think dark tint makes those cars look terrible. Now my cars are tinted-but it's a clear tint that has an unnoticeable light blue hue if you really look. In reality the glass looks clear...it's a little more pricey but it has all the UV and heat protection of dark tint. Obviously if your motive is privacy you won't be getting that.
