Default Cheap input to standard sterio?

I analyzed the schematics for the standard audio system in my 2003 X-type in the hopes of finding input wires I can splice into creating an auxiliary input. I am to cheap (or broke) to consider the control module. As far as I can tell the input is BOF (fibre optic) which will probably mean that this is an impossibility. Has anyone hacked the stock unit, allowing for media player hook-up.

Thanks,

Dave

Try a good quality FM modulator:

Basic:
Scosche FM-MOD02 Play your iPod®, satellite radio, or portable music player through any car's FM radio at Crutchfield.com

or even better:
DICE Electronics - Universal RDS USB

Yes, good advise,

I bought one for my 2004 xjr, works great if you take the time to buy a model with aux in and usb port and remotecontrol.

Fits nice in my dashcompartment, but don't know if you have a powersupply there.
