Default Ipod Integration - ACM? Dension? Help!

Hi,
I am about to change cars and buy a 2004 xtype 2.5.
It has a stock stereo with a single CD which I need to expand.

I was looking at buying an OEM CD changer for the trunk, but then got thinking about ipod integration. I have read a lot about Jag ACM Module and Dension ACM and that they seem to do a decent job. But I cannot find any to purchase on the internet, nor do I see many posts about people who have successfully installed them on an xtype?

Any feedback or help would be appreciated.

Cheers.

Default Ipod Integration

Thanks for the info. The item is not on their site...but I will call them tomorrow. I was hoping for a deal on eBay...but it seems this product is rare.

Cheers.

Actually, it is on their site.

Click on the "Jaguar Accessories Catalog" image, then 2006, then X-Type, then Technology.

However, the part number listed in the online accessories catalog is an old one. The new/current part number is C2C40513. Unfortunately, along with the newer part number, there's also a newer price. As I mentioned on that page that I referenced earlier, I paid about $345 US, including shipping, just a few months ago.

Regardless, if you call them, give them that part number and you'll make the whole transaction much easier on both sides of the phone.

Thanks...i did find the part. You describe it as being so easy a Monkey could do it - I'd like to meet that Monkey! lol...
I am also talking to a local shop that does an FM modulator solution. They tell me the sound quality is near CD as the solution blocks radio signals when it is engaged so you don't get any interference.
It is $250 installed. I need to mull it over...

Well, OK - maybe I should back off on that description just a little bit.

The point is that you don't have to know car audio particularly well, and you don't have to be intimately familiar with the innards of your Jaguar. You just need to follow the numbered pictures, in order. I don't even think you have to be able to read - the way that the diagrams are used as instructions, there's hardly any text.

Someone of moderate mechanical aptitude and no prior experience can do this installation.
