Hi Peter,

How is the XJ40 going? With good paint these cars look amazing! Is yours a 4.0L model? Have you had any luck with uploading the photos yet? If not, I'll have a look into it for you!

Hi Dave.
Its a 3.6 and unfortunatly the clear paint finish was very badly damaged ., however I have dropped it off to the spray paint shop this morning so am looking forward to seeing her all shinny by the end of the week
I would like to post some pictures showing various stages of the restoration, but not sure how to attached picture.
I noticed an area asking for the HTTP site of the pictures but this dosnt mean anything to me

Default Attach pictures

Hi Peter ... and greetings from another newbie ...
Like you, I first found it hard to attach pics - perhaps others also?
After you get the hang of it though, the process is fairly simple ...

1. assemble your pics pref in "XJ40xx.jpg" format on your pc "desktop";

2. type your post, preview, but do not submit yet;

3. scroll down to "Additional Options" and click "manage attachments";

4. keep new window small, use "browse" to locate pic file in "desktop";

5. click on "upload", wait until listed in blue both here and post window;

6. repeat 4+5 until all pics are uploaded and listed in blue;

7. close "manage attachments" window and verify list on "Additional Options";

8. click "submit".

Once returned to the thread to which you posted, you will find your pics attached to the foot of your post.

I do hope this helps both you Peter, and others .... we are all helping each other here and I am also bustin' to see pics of your XJ40.

Just so ... My boss, navigator, and also committed Jag owner/driver with our first son and his first steps - he is now 43 - and our very first Jag - note UK plate.
