James what would be a good meeting point to begin the car pool? If we met at the BP Servo again do you think it would be ok to leave the 4WD there all day?
Evreyone has a 4x4 these days, no one will steal it.

Lets get the timing right so everyone makes the meeting point.

That makes 17 people so far. I will book for 20 for now.
Looks like I'll be coming on two wheels, just confirmed a blown head gasket on the old girl and can't do the job for the next two weeks as we have loaned the other car out for two weeks.

That makes 18 people so far. I have booked a table for 20, and will revue that closer to the date.

Please bring cash if possible, the manager did want to only have a single bill for the group. But after a bit of a discussion (with langauge barrier) he is going to try and accommodate separate orders for us on the day.

You guys from the North Side and Sunshine Coast should start planning a meeting point if you want to drive down together.

Default WOW!!! A great meet and drive coming up

Hey to Clarke and all the Qld gang,

So sorry I can't get up to see you on the 6th March. Minor matter of flying to Sydney to pick up my "new" 2004 X100 from interstate.

Knowing the Tambourine/Lamington area well, I envy you a fine outing at perhaps the best time of year to take in the scenery and hopefully, cooler mountain air. Even the supercharged cats roar happier on the cooler heavier air than in an Oz mid summer.

Let me encourage all who haven't pitched in for one of these meet & greets before . . . Jump in; meet some like-minded car tragics; tell wild and improbable stories; have fun. A great way to include partners too.

Best wishes for a great event . . . and please make sure we see lots of pics of those growling pussycats at play!

Ken

Sorry you cant make it Ken, but the X100 will put a smile on your dial

The roar from S/C cat will be more of a snarling growl, with an exhaust change fitted. Most is done but waiting on the last bit to finish it off

Cheers

Sorry I'm late but my wife and I may be starters. Don't change the booking for us in case we cant. We'd either have my XKR or her XE. The XE is awesome for mountain drives, but the sound of the XKR through the hills is epic.

Default Tambourine/ Lamington or bust . . .

Bugga, bugga, bugga;
I have been wanting to catch up with Paulyling for many months. I followed his harrowing tale of appearances and disappearances while pocketing squillions on some deep sea oil platform and simultaneously trying to snare "The Blue Goose" . . .

. . . and now Bruce the Quail flits in with his promise of a prowling, snorting XKR to boot. Yikes!!!

Sitting here, bank balance extinguished; waiting for my epic XK8 to appear from Roadbend in WA; sobbing inconsolably at not being able to join you . . .

Bugga! Life just isn't fair!
Off to Coffs again Thursday in "Silver Princess" for an effortless xxx Kph week long trip.
But, on the other hand, it's about to get SOOOO much better!

Good to see you keeping my good mate Clarke busy as always.
Gotta get up to see you soon!
Cheers anyway, and best wishes for a great day out.

Ken

We are getting close to the one week mark chaps!

Im looking forward to it

Do any Northsiders require to meet at the BP servo, Bruce Hwy, Southbound near Morayfield? I will be coming from the Sunshine Coast.

Do we have a time confirmed yet to rally at the meeting point at Oxenford Tavern?

Clarke it may only be me and the two boys now. Got to confirm but the two girls might be pulling the pin (daughters best friend has a birthday party....they only gave us 1 week's notice)

Fingers crossed Clarke gets Fireball sorted and James sorts his beast. If either of you need an apprentice or a gofer let me know I am good at handing over tools, holding the torch, talking lots and encouraging all involved it is time for a beer

Ok, lets make it 9.30 at the meeting point. It is about 1 1/2 hour drive.
That will give us a bit of time to chew the fat and wait for anyone running a bit late. And allow for a photo or two on the way.
I will PM my ph number to those coming in the next few days so we can be in touch on the day.

Please bring cash if possible, the manager did want to only have a single bill for the group. But after a bit of a discussion (with langauge barrier) he is going to try and accommodate separate orders for us on the day.

It is up to you guys from the north to work out an earlier meeting point if you want. Just make sure all are clear on the timing.

Meet at the Oxenford Tavern around 9.30am.
179 Old Pacific highway, Oxenford
Drive to North Tamborine via Tamborine-Oxenford Rd
Carry on to Cunungra then take the Lamington National Park Rd to O'Reilly's.
Lunch at O'Reilly's Mountain Cafe
After lunch go our own way(or together) to explore the area, or just head for home.

Lois and I will be happy to meet others from the Great North at the Morayfield BP Southbound on Sunday. It's just over an hour to Oxenford so what about we meet at 7:45 for a 8:00 am departure to arrive at Oxenford before 9:30am. We WILL wait until 8:00am but have to leave by then.
Cheers, Doug.

My cat chucked a hissy fit after seeing the attention the blue goose was getting.
It's in need of new throttle position sensor. According to jag i need to buy a complete throttle body but have located a new sensor and am waiting its arrival.

I be there on the day but the part may not arrive in time for the cat to attend

Cheers

Hope you get it sorted in time. I'm in the same situation, If my cam bearings don't arrive by 11am today my cat will be still off the road too.

And this has always been the argument for owning two Jaguars! Hope you get your cars back on the road soon.
