Edmonton??
Soveirgn motors
Hey, new member here with a (new to me) 09 XF, as I was scrolling down I noticed someone asked about dealership service centre, thus far I have had no complaints with the dealership or service department, they are top notch.
Are you under warrantee still? If so, I can't comment on the official Jag dealer in Edmonton. But, if you are not under warrantee still then you may wish to give Sovereign Motors a call. He is a Brit mechanic trained in England for Jags. However, moved to Edmonton and couldn't/didn't want to work with the official Dealer/Mechanic here. Set up his own restoration/mechanic shop.
He seemed reasonable and skillful to me when I took my car in for its inspection. Mind you, I just got my car and really haven't had any issues that would test the merit and integrity of the mechanic yet.

Appreciate it if ur still on this forum
I'm also in Edmonton and he's been looking after my Jags for the past 16 years.
thank you thank you thank you

Edmonton here as well. I've been to Sovereign for a quick inspection, he (Stu) fit me in short notice. Friendly guy. Can't comment on any mechanical work.
Have been to JLREdmonton, owned by GoAuto for better or worse. Seems like they are buying up the market- cornering - one might say. Anyways. Got 3rd part extended warranty for my 2017 XE (purchased elsewhere) through them for the best price I would find. It was easy to set up. But I do have to say their email responses to my questions was not the greatest. I had to physically go in to get it all sorted. In my conversations with Stu at Sovereign, he suggested Global Warranty which is who JLREdmonton deals with and sold me. Both Stu and JLREdmonton had good feedback dealing with GlobalWarranty. Just to tie my story all together.
I'm in a situation now where I need to bring the car in for a service. Found a slow seeping coolant leak... Not sure where to bring it now... JLREdm or Sovereign. I want/need the quickest turn around.

Good evening,
Note: This is a re-post from the main site, Didn't realize there was a Canada section.
I'm a new member from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
My Jaguar history is "almost bought" a '63 E-type in 1969, but my father wouldn't co-sign for a loan to buy it (probably for the best).
Owned a silver 2003 X-Type sedan that was fabulous, but unfortunately it was written off in an accident that was not a fault of ours.
Replaced it with a beautiful radiance red 2006 X-Type Sportwagen, which I am currently selling.
During the ownership of the Sportwagen, I purchased a black 2007 S-Type R for our winter home in Palm Desert, California. Wonderful, powerful car. Owned for three years.
So moving on, once the Sportwagon is sold, I will begin the search, in North America, for a Mark 2, 3.4 or 3.8. This has been an all-time favourite of mine. Looking forward to the adventure.
Best regards, Michael
