"Last Chance" car show Sept.29

Located in Welland, ON at the Niagara Regional Exhibition Grounds. In it's 33rd year and open to all kinds of cars with no emphasis on make, model or year. I was there with my xjr last year. There was 4 other jags there but I arrived too late to park beside them. I doubt any were members of this forum but I could be wrong.

Last year 800 cars were there. They definitely go the extra mile to please everyone attending. They also have a large area for the swap meet. Would be nice if some forum members are able to participate. It's only 30 min from Hamilton, and an hour from Toronto. One additional opportunity to setup tent and give more exposure to jaguarforums.com.

To those who are able to come out, I propose we meet at my house in Old Glenridge (St.Catharines) for coffee , then form a convoy to the show. My wife makes the best coffee!

Here is a link to the ad on Kijiji: Last Chance Car Show & Swap Meet - Sunday September 29 - Welland - St. Catharines Collector Cars For Sale - Kijiji St. Catharines Canada.

Let me know if anyone is interested. it is on Sunday, September 29, 2013 reply here, PM me, or email me by clicking on my profile.

Shaune,

That's a great offer. I hope other members can make it to the show.

Hi Shaune-

Thanks for posting and for organizing a group. Hopefully we'll see a few Jags out for this event!

Good show Shaune! Thanks for making the offer.

Sadly due to another commitment I won't be able to make it, but I wish everyone a great day out.

Please post up some pics of the event, and a group shot if possible.

I might be able to join you. I doubt SHMBO is likely to come. She managed to smile through most of the British Car Day in Oakville, but I think that reaction may be only for a limited number of events!

I will update when I am sure. What sort of time were you thinking we should meet?

Lat year I didn't go til about 1pm. It really would be up to whoever decides to come. I don't have a set time I'd like to be there.

Thank you for the interest :-)

shaune-

If it doesn't happen this year, maybe for next year we could organize having the forum banner on display.

I think Jake (GT42R) might still have it (?).

Sadly, now I have discovered a family social event that takes precedence, so I will not be able to be there.

Hmmm... Last chance car show huh? I lived in st Catharines in the '70's
Went to Lakeport high school in fact.
800 cars you say? Surly I could run into someone I used to know.
Now if only I can talk Mrs V12 into the drive we could do it.

Not counting on it but I am hoping..

Turned out a pretty nice day, and plenty of cars they probably beat the 800 estimate.
Not many Brits though, I saw a Triumph and a Mini.

Pictures aren't playing tonight, I'll try again tomorrow.

Was a great show with a little bit of everything. Wife and I arrived around 11:30. Unfortunately my jag was the only one there.

Nice work Shaune and Norri! Kinda like you sacrificed and did this one for the crew...:icon_lolsign: Must have been terrible with all those cool old cars...

Well next year perhaps a posse? Maybe a GT42 parade of Jags?

I think I managed to find and buy the only piece of Jaguar regalia in the whole swap meet portion;
nothing fancy, and doubt I'll ever wear it, but it was only $5.

Norri, it was easy to miss some portions of the show as it was so huge and they were running out of space so they had to shoe-horn them in other areas lol.

Well not a bad piece of regalia there. If you have an XJS. Would you be interested in a 200% profit on that item?
I have an XJS wrist watch as well as a real XJS!

Tell me now...what you think?

shaune 10-02-2013 09:02 PM

DG, It's yours for the same price I paid if you want it. It is size Large with no marks anywhere on it.
Vendor said it was a discontinued design which is why it was so cheap. Next up is how to get it to you lol.

I am available most weekends.

Some great looking machines out there.

But what was the purple beast with the binoculars?

justV12 10-03-2013 08:47 PM

OH BOY Shaune, let me be in touch.

DG
