Sorry to announce, but the meet will be put back another weekend.

The weather forecast has only worsened over the week, and Saturday and Sunday are both calling for rain,

We are better off waiting another weekend for a nice bright, sunny and warm summer weekend to enjoy our meet and cruise.

On top of that, haven't heard from too many people, so maybe another weekend is better for most,


So, official plans as of now is, meet pushed back to Saturday June 15th, 2013. Fallback day of Sunday, June 16th.

 

Good, I still have a chance to make the first run.
Just watch out for fathers day. ;-)

 

If a slightly weather worn X Type Wagon is welcome to join in, then it's in my calendar!!

 

Danny- You are more than welcome to come join us in the X! larger the procession of jags for the cruise, the better!

I regret not proceeding with the meet this past weekend, as saturday was passing rain on/off in the afternoon, while sunday was simply amazing and sunny!

So, how does everyone feel about the meet taking place this Saturday, June 15th? Forecast looks good for this weekend so we should be go for sure this time around. I know it is father's day on Sunday, so I hope it doesn't result in schedule conflict for anyone, so let's stick to a Saturday morning meet and cruise.

Going to try and see if I can make it out....no promises as of now....also be an excuse to give her a good wash and wax, with all this rain and poor weather the car is getting real dirty

 

Weather forecast for Saturday, 10% chance of rain, with 5-10mm forecast... well seems a bit heavy on the rain by only 10%. Sunday is all showers. I would be inclined to cancel for saturday, but after last weekend turning out perfectly well, (especially sunday) despite the dreary forecast, I think I am going to keep the date set for Saturday June 15th...

Looks like we are GO for this Saturday guys, have a nice cruise route plotted out, should be a fun Saturday morning between us Jaguar enthusiasts!

 

This has been one long and rainy week!

Saturdays forecast looks perfect for a scenic drive through some country roads on a summer afternoon,

Location: Tim Horton's at the corner of Mayfield road and Hurontario, 11965 Hurontario Street, Brampton, Ontario L7A,

Time: 10.45am meet. 11.45am driver orientation, 12.00pm Cruise departure, 2.00pm return. Please arrive to the meet no later than 11.45am.

 

Family commitments prevent me from coming this time.

 

Great meet yesterday, perfect weather for a cruise too!

Poor turnout, but a great time with the few of us nonetheless,

Next weekend, on Sunday June 23rd, there is the annual OJOA show at the Ontario Science Centre,

Anyone coming to this event from the west-end? Mississauga, Oakvile, Guelph, Hamilton...
Consider a pre-meet somewhere in Mississauga, and cruise over together in a group to the Science center?

 

Keep planning dates and reporting on them Show any pictures as well.
Eventually the meets will gain traction and become a "calendar event" for everyone.

As for the OJOA concours next week, please do come one and all.

If so, please consider joining our meet in Mississauga, from which we will cruise in a group to the Science Centre along the 401,

Date: Sunday, June 23rd, 2013

Location: Starbucks at the corner of Hurontario and Britannia, , 6020 Hurontario Street, Mississauga, Ontario, L5R (just south of the 401 on hurontario)

Time: 10.00am, departure no later than 10.15am

Plan: Meet at the starbucks for 10am, get back on the 401 East, head to the Ontario Science Centre together in a pack, in time for the 11.30am entry deadline,


I have 2-3 people confirmed for this already, more are welcome!!!

Now that is very cool. Just a thought though, if you guys can sort it so a bunch of cars don't show up last minute that would be great. If we have display cars showing up its not so bad. But a bottle neck may cause a problem. I think if you could give us an extra 15 minutes that would be fine. So shoot for 11:15 as the latest.
But come! Even late we will welcome you all!
Oh and Danny A Fish, your X-Type is unusual (not many wagons) and for its colour red.
I would like to see it.

Hope you guys had a great day - i'm looking forward to the photos and would love to hear about first "in the flesh" impressions of the F!!!!

I am somewhat disappointed to have had to pass as I had hiped to make it - unfortunately, my X arrived home somewhat late last night in the midst of a thunder storm, but the results of the storm on the exterior were as nothing compared to the mini tornado (aka my 3 yr old, Alice) on the interior. No time to put it all right this morning and I didn't feel too comfortable showing up to a Jaguar concours event in a filthy Jaguar (and one that even at its best is somewhat "challenged" in the detailing department).

There are no more Thursday nights really as far as I am concerned so...?
Lets do another one like Monday night cruise at the Canadian Tyre Silver Linden and highway 7. We can get a Jaguar line up some night.
