Question Turbo upgrade/swap

Toying with ideas for the turbo, my x type 2.0 d has the electronic actuator, same ad the 2.2 x type d i believe, does anyone know if i could put the 2.2's turbo on mine or even the s types 2.7 turbo on? Would the ecu adapt to the larger turbo or am i getting in to a world of hell?

The S-Type is twin-turbo ('cos it's a V6, one turbo per bank) so each turbo serves three cylinders ... a 1.35 litre engine !

I know that a hybrid turbo for the 2.2 will fit the 2.0 so i imagine it would fit , but im not sure if they possibly both have the same turbo

Yes the 2.2 turbo will fit straight on.
The only difference is the compressor wheel has double the amount of blades.

I would estimate that the difference in use would be the capability of boost pressure at higher revs on a 2.0, but I would guess the ecu would limit boost pressure.

Paul.
