Front brakes locked up 68 E-Type

Have made the mistake of letting my 68 Etype sit up for 5 years. Installed new battery today, along with new fan belt, and muffler mount. Thought I was ready to roll. It fired but when I engaged the clutch the front brakes were locked up solid. I sprayed the rotors down with WD-40 trying to get things to free up. They did some but still pinching pretty hard. Thinking its the pistons in the rotors frozen and wondering before I start taking things apart if they could possible be freed up or rebuilt or should I replace. I know I'm probably asking questions ahead of time but curious if anyone else has had this occur and what their results ended up being?

I had something similar happening to my 68 2+2, but I was able to drive it for a short distance until smoke started coming from the brakes. I Rebuilt the callipers, honed the rotors, and replaced the flex lines with SS braided to fix the issue. Hope that helps.

Thanks a bunch. Sounds like that is where I am headed.

Joe you could pull the pads and see if the pistons will retract.

Hi. Can someone tell me how to install the CHOKE Cable in a 65 jag roadster? I took the cable out long ago but I have tried over and over again to install it but haven't found the
right way to do it. Could someone take pity on an old jaguar nut and assist me in doing
this right?

In a perfect world the top of the dash can be removed with a few screws. That will allow you access to re-connect the choke cable from above. In my case the dash was glued in so I cut a small hole in the left side of the glove box to access the choke mechanism. Hope you have small fingers ;)
