My 65 E-Type came with a replacement alternator which has no stamps or markings. This unit is now toast. Can someone recommend a suitable replacement? I am not concerned with originality, I just want to get the car on the road.

Veeracer, Look at my post about a month ago.
I went with the xks unlimited, one wire.
Just the best and takes all the guess work out.
I take it you still have the double groove pulley.
85 amps is perfect and your not overloading the system.
Just shunt the amp gauge and all is fine,
The kit was around 300 dollars, belt, bracket and all
