Question No infotainment sound when outdoor temperature is low.

My infotainment system worked well unitl this winter when the outdoor temperature was below 10C . Below this temperature I get no sound from the unit when the vehicle is first started. If the vehicla is driven for an hour or more and the cabin is warmed up the sound will return. The amount of time varies depending on how cold it was before the vehicle was started. As outdoor temperatures have begun to rise now this spring I get sound when temperatures stay above 10C. If the overnight temperature is less than 10C then it takes a bit until the cabin warms up to get sound. Has anyone seen this problem?

Sounds like your battery may be getting weak. There's a module that will turn off the infotainment system when the battery charge drops below a certain point and allow it to turn back on when it's charged again. Cold temperatures affect battery output. You should have your battery tested to see what the life expectancy is. State of Health (SOH): The battery's overall condition and its ability to deliver power under load, including factors like internal resistance and capacity

Thank you for the input. The battery was replaced in June of '24, to rectify the Auto Start not functrioning. There were no infotainment issues before then and the Auto Start still works. I've checked the battery on a couple of occassions and it is consistently at 12.35V before starting, even at minus 30C here in Alberta. Maybe the module is malfunctioning though. I will have to see about having that checked.

12.35V before starting is a dead battery. 12.6 to 12.7 is fully charged.

Thanks. I learned something new. I will have the battery and alternator checked.
