Bluetooth - iPhone - mic doesn't seem to work for phone function
My 2016 F-Type R iPhone Bluetooth works perfectly for apps (Spotify, Waze, various audio functions associated with apps), however, specific to the phone function, I can hear the other person on a call, but they cannot hear me. I have cycled through all the normal settings and reboots, but the problem remains.
Anyone else encounter this? I am wondering if the car's microphone is toast.

Not quite the same issue - but in my 2017 it has always been v hard for anyone to hear me using phone / Bluetooth. I can hear them fine
I suspect a faulty or loose microphone but haven't investigated. Dealer always said it worked find under warranty
I believe it's in the instrument cluster in the dash above the steering wheel. Lmk if you make progress. I'm tempted to just replace my mic and see if that fixes it

I believe we are talking about the same thing. Upon further investigation, if I am in my garage, not driving, the other person can somewhat hear me, but I sound far away. I have put my go-to car audio guy on it and will let you know what he comes back with!
Yes - could be same issue. Hard for people to hear me when driving - guessing either the mic is faulty or it's loose and rattling around. My wife also says the indicator click is crazy loud through the phone - as it clicks on the dash right near where the mic is located.
Please do let me know what you find.
