F-Type SVR Production numbers and more

Hello All,
A member reached out to me via IG regarding productions numbers and figured I'd join since I am close to wrapping up the SVR numbers which I plan on sharing with the forum and most likely setting up a website for it since I have pictures of about between 50-60%. And there are some cool 1 of 1s and Bespoke/SVO premium colors.

First a little background:
This little side project of curating all the SVR numbers actually didn't start with the SVR numbers, it started with the idea of finding out the 400 Sport production numbers since I wanted one. A couple years ago, while on IG I saw that a dealer had an ad/post announcing that only 100 were made for Canada. I later saw that same figure mentioned in a Canadian review of the car. This caught my attention as I had never seen any numbers mentioned for the US so I wanted to know. I emailed Jaguar numerous times about asking this, SVR numbers, and Manual numbers. I even cited Canada as an example of them being able to provide the data but they refused. The last email I even CC'd the VP of customer relations and that got someone assigned on the case and that they would get the info and get back to me. They later back tracked and gave the same canned answer that this would de valuate models blah blah bla. I didn't even bother to reply since I had alreadt started cataloging/tracking them on my own. . . .

Ftyperegistry 07-11-2020 07:17 PM

So little by little that's what I been doing during my leisure time/boring meetings, etc.
It has been super annoying that Jaguar does not release this info at least for the US. Specially since I have found out that for other countries they provide the production numbers info, even appearing in review articles in those countries.(Shotout to Google Translate lol) Also found out via social media that Jaguar releases this info in other countries. For example from a guy in Colombia I found out that SVRs in 2019 totaled 300 (still have to verify) from this lady in UK she posted the dealer told her SVR numbers for 2020 were 250. (This was true as I have completed 2020 numbers)
By the time I am done,in what I'm projecting to be around September I will have VIN numbers and total production numbers of:
2017
British Design Edition - US Only
SVRs - Global
2018
400 Sport - US and Canada
SVRs - Global
Manual - Global
2019
SVRs - Global
Manual - Global
2020
SVRs - Global

I will post some numbers and findings of what I have so far later today. Feel free to ask any questions and I will look up the info when I get a chance.

Here is a small sample of the data I am collecting. Once I clean it up for errors, clarity I will make it publish it on a website along with pictures of the most interesting/unique SVRs I have found.

Looks great! Can't wait to see it! 👍

Thank you for your research. Looking forward to seeing the results...

Ftyperegistry 07-13-2020 11:24 AM

Here are a couple pics that I have found of your car.
I believe yours is one of the last if not the last SVRs produced for the US in 2018. 2018 Production ended with Serial#55803. Yours is #55633 so at most there is probably 1 or 2 US SVRs that was made after yours if that.

Well done Ftyperegistry! There are a few here that I had not even seen yet! :icon_imnotworthy:

BritCars 07-13-2020 07:39 PM

That's impressive! I look forward to seeing your results. Perhaps you can set it up so we can share more recent photos of our SVRs to add to the album too!

Ftyperegistry 07-13-2020 10:40 PM

Thanks. And yes that is what I am thinking about doing, have that site where current owner's, can submit pics of their SVRs.

I am at the point that I am able to make a pretty close estimate that there were between 1800-1900 SVRs produced worldwide. With about 630-650 allocated to the US.
Of those 600+ SVRs in the US 467 of those are 2017. That means that between about 200 or less are model years 2018-2020.
Jaguar produced so many SVRs in 2017 that had to scale back production aggressively. It has been surprising to find that about half of all the SVRs produced are 2017.

In terms of rarity, besides the SVO Premium colors for 2019-2020 and the Bespoke options for 2017-2018 (Like Feral SVR's BRG) which are are very few; the rarest color is
Firesand Orange - Only available for 2017 model year.
64 Worldwide, 18 for the US. Actually 17 only because the Pre-production car that was used by Jaguar for advertising, auto shows was never sold.

The most common color for all years is Ultimate Black/Santorini Black making up between 20-24% of all SVRs on any given year.

There is one here in New Zealand :)

If you are interested in details I have seen around 10 SVR's come up for sale here since January 2017. I have got sales prices, most VINs, colours, mileage, etc.

Ftyperegistry 08-02-2020 09:05 PM

Yep. i have this one. It is a 2019 SVR in Yulong White. VIN# SAJDA1AEXKCK60858

Ftyperegistry 08-02-2020 09:08 PM

@FeralSVR - question. I've seen in the forums there are 2 figures you have provided for SVR production numbers for 2018. 349 and 377. Which one is the correct one?

FeralSVR 08-03-2020 08:24 AM

My apology for the confusion. Here's the response that I received from JLR:

Thank you for contacting Jaguar Cars. We have further researched this information for you with our UK production office and found the following:
How many 2018 F-Type SVR's were produced internationally and how many just for the U.S
Globally = 377
USA = 47
Canada = 27

Again, sorry for the discrepancy...

Ftyperegistry 08-03-2020 09:44 PM

Thanks!!

Biofreak 08-04-2020 01:39 AM

This is epic! Any idea on South African numbers out of interest?

Ftyperegistry 08-04-2020 09:53 PM

Yes I have F-Type SVR production numbers for South Africa. Not done with 2018 or 2019 yet but for 2017 and 2020 numbers are:
2017: 30
2020: 0 - yes no 2020 F-Type SVRs were allocated to SA

SS4PK 08-05-2020 06:38 AM

Very cool, keep up the research

@Biofreak any info on the SVR in South Africa that just crashed yesterday? It was in the front page of yahoo today. I wonder if it will be totaled. https://news.yahoo.com/jaguar-crashe...144552710.html

By all accounts a lady driver that likes to show off by revving the car before she gets out. There's CCTV footage showing her come up to a parking spot and then violently accelerating into the pot plants :/

The pics look bad but I doubt it would be written off. It should be repaired.

Not so much revving as missing the brake pedal ... ;)
Lots of antecedents for that particular trick.

She apparently tried to put it into Neutral while still rolling and then hit the gas to rev the car.... Clearly it didn't go into neutral.

Do you still collect VINs and informations about SVRs ?

dougdean 08-07-2020 10:47 AM

2020 the last year of production for SVR's? So no more quilted seats, top line carbon ceramic brakes, tweaked steering, suspension, 200mph max speed, etc.. etc..... I guess jaguar thought the price was too excessive so cut back to make only top of the line "R" model for 2021 and beyond.
I love my 2020 SVR ceramic coated in madagascar orange. Took almost seven months for delivery, but worth the wait.

So you're the owner of that Madgascar Orange SVR. Nice. It is a beautiful color. I have a few pics of it.
Did you order it in that color? or was it just one the dealer had in stock. It is an SVO Premium color option

Here's an interesting one I recently found. JCK53814. Only the second SVR I have ever seen with a flat-bottom steering wheel. The other one is FeralSVR's.
According to this YT video this SVR was custom made for Jaguar Ian Callum. The car also has blue seats which I hadn't seen, and the rare deployable spoiler option for SVRs.

LOVE those blue seats! I also like the decal on the side. That may be too much once I add the 575 decals on the rockers from the UK SVR graphic pack.

Yep! That is correct about Ian's Flat Bottom Steering Wheel. When I spec'd mine they sent me photos of Ian's SVR with the Flat Bottom Steering Wheel. I spec'd mine to be all black with no chrome accent on the lower SVR spoke. One thing that's just a bit strange - the photo of Ian's car at the time was spec'd in the powder blue variant - the same color as the vents. Wonder if it was repainted. Hmmmmmm...

Ftyperegistry 08-10-2020 04:16 PM

Very interesting. Do u still have those pics? Blue must be Ian's favorite color to have blue seats with blue exterior paint. After he saw it probably thought it was to much blue and must have asked to change the exterior color lol

FeralSVR 08-10-2020 06:15 PM

As soon as I wrote that I went searching for those photos. Unfortunately I had deleted them...

So finally done with 2018.
Production numbers in 2018 MY F-Type SVR's were 380 Built Worldwide. 3 more than the 377 figure FeralSVR was provided by Jaguar, which I am not surprised since manufacturers usually produce a few more of their high end/limited models and "disavow" a few from official count due to them being pre-production, keeping them, etc.

Below is a breakdown of the countries with the highest allocation. For all other years the SVR was produced; US was highest and UK second highest. I will go into detail for US numbers in a separate post.

UK 130
Germany 80
USA 50
Canada 27
Switzerland 12
France 11

Ftyperegistry 08-15-2020 11:52 AM

Ok so as it has discussed previously on the forum 2018 MY SVR is the lowest/rarest the US.
There were officially 50 produced for the US. But Jaguar does not count the 3 below.
2 Pre-Production SVRs built November and December 2016. Used for commercials/ads/media events

SAJDZ1FE7JCK43774 Caldera Red US Coupe - Appears on this commercial
SAJDZ1FE1JCK44113 Caldera Red US Coupe - Used for this this commercial and ads

The cars were never registered in the US and last record of them are being transported to Quebec,Canada, probably for a media event/promotion. So who knows where they are now. Maybe still in Canada.
Something interesting US is the only country where pre-production/early production SVRs are never registered. Used for press and stuff but never sold.

The 3rd US SVR that Jaguar doesn't count is this one:
SAJDZ1FE5JCK52425 Santorini Black US Coupe - Never even shipped to US. So Jaguar Corporate kept it and last record of is delivery inspection in 2019 in the UK.

So if you don't count those 3 then that brings the number of US SVRs to 47. But there are even less than that on the road.

Ftyperegistry 08-15-2020 12:02 PM

Out of the 47 2018 SVRs that were delivered to US dealers only 43 are actually on the roads now.

SAJDZ1FE1JCK48789 Yulong White US Coupe - This was totaled last year, it has Grey wrap with Project 7 stripes/decals. https://poctra.com/2018-JAGUAR-F-TYP...S/SAN-DIEGO-CA

There are also 3 that have never been registered and have no service history. So either they never sold and are still sitting somewhere at a dealer or the owners that bought them never registered which some car collectors do sometimes; and are stashed away sad that they are not being enjoyed lol lol . . . Without having access to Jaguar's dealer system we have no way of knowing where these 3 are currently at.

So for all you that have a USA 2018 SVR, it is confirmed you have the rarest model year F-Type built.

Ftyperegistry 08-16-2020 09:59 PM

FeralSVR so I previously found an SVR that was built right before yours, or most likely along with yours since its the VIN 1 number lower. Serial # JCK55632 and it caught my attention because the build info was identical to yours in Topix, with the exception that it has the Deployable spoiler option.
So I suspected it was also an SVR in British Racing Green. But since Topix did not have a color code for SVRs in British Racing Green until the 2019 model year, and the only pic I had previously been able to find was in black and white I had no way of confirming it was an SVR in BRG until I saw actual color pics of it.
Well today I got the idea of looking up the VIN on a site I had used previously when I first started tracking SVRs and found that they did have pics of it https://www.vehiclehistory.com/vin-r...DZ1FE3JCK55632
This means 2 SVRs in British Racing Green were built for the US in 2018. I think yours is cooler/more unique though because of the flat-bottom steering wheel lol.

Also thought I'd let you know that your was the second to last SVR built for the US.

Here are the pics of the other 2018 SVR in BRG. Sold at Jaguar Main Line, PA

FeralSVR 08-17-2020 10:13 AM

Good to know that I've got another twin out there! We still have a few unique differences though:
  • Flat Bottom Steering Wheel (only two SVR's in existence)
  • Bright Grille and Window Surround (only SVR in the world with Bright Trim)
  • Carbon Fiber Bumper Bar
  • 3D Carbon Fiber Rear Facia and Front Intake Trim
  • Price: $162,770 vs $156,994 - so apparently I have a few more options as well...
Thanks again for your research!
