@Biofreak any info on the SVR in South Africa that just crashed yesterday? It was in the front page of yahoo today. I wonder if it will be totaled. https://news.yahoo.com/jaguar-crashe...144552710.html

By all accounts a lady driver that likes to show off by revving the car before she gets out. There's CCTV footage showing her come up to a parking spot and then violently accelerating into the pot plants :/

The pics look bad but I doubt it would be written off. It should be repaired.

Not so much revving as missing the brake pedal ... ;)
Lots of antecedents for that particular trick.

She apparently tried to put it into Neutral while still rolling and then hit the gas to rev the car.... Clearly it didn't go into neutral.

Do you still collect VINs and informations about SVRs ?

dougdean 08-07-2020 10:47 AM

2020 the last year of production for SVR's? So no more quilted seats, top line carbon ceramic brakes, tweaked steering, suspension, 200mph max speed, etc.. etc..... I guess jaguar thought the price was too excessive so cut back to make only top of the line "R" model for 2021 and beyond.
I love my 2020 SVR ceramic coated in madagascar orange. Took almost seven months for delivery, but worth the wait.

So you're the owner of that Madgascar Orange SVR. Nice. It is a beautiful color. I have a few pics of it.
Did you order it in that color? or was it just one the dealer had in stock. It is an SVO Premium color option

Here's an interesting one I recently found. JCK53814. Only the second SVR I have ever seen with a flat-bottom steering wheel. The other one is FeralSVR's.
According to this YT video this SVR was custom made for Jaguar Ian Callum. The car also has blue seats which I hadn't seen, and the rare deployable spoiler option for SVRs.

LOVE those blue seats! I also like the decal on the side. That may be too much once I add the 575 decals on the rockers from the UK SVR graphic pack.

Yep! That is correct about Ian's Flat Bottom Steering Wheel. When I spec'd mine they sent me photos of Ian's SVR with the Flat Bottom Steering Wheel. I spec'd mine to be all black with no chrome accent on the lower SVR spoke. One thing that's just a bit strange - the photo of Ian's car at the time was spec'd in the powder blue variant - the same color as the vents. Wonder if it was repainted. Hmmmmmm...

Ftyperegistry 08-10-2020 04:16 PM

Very interesting. Do u still have those pics? Blue must be Ian's favorite color to have blue seats with blue exterior paint. After he saw it probably thought it was to much blue and must have asked to change the exterior color lol

As soon as I wrote that I went searching for those photos. Unfortunately I had deleted them...

So finally done with 2018.
Production numbers in 2018 MY F-Type SVR's were 380 Built Worldwide. 3 more than the 377 figure FeralSVR was provided by Jaguar, which I am not surprised since manufacturers usually produce a few more of their high end/limited models and "disavow" a few from official count due to them being pre-production, keeping them, etc.

Below is a breakdown of the countries with the highest allocation. For all other years the SVR was produced; US was highest and UK second highest. I will go into detail for US numbers in a separate post.

UK 130
Germany 80
USA 50
Canada 27
Switzerland 12
France 11

Ftyperegistry 08-15-2020 11:52 AM

Ok so as it has discussed previously on the forum 2018 MY SVR is the lowest/rarest the US.
There were officially 50 produced for the US. But Jaguar does not count the 3 below.
2 Pre-Production SVRs built November and December 2016. Used for commercials/ads/media events

SAJDZ1FE7JCK43774 Caldera Red US Coupe - Appears on this commercial
SAJDZ1FE1JCK44113 Caldera Red US Coupe - Used for this this commercial and ads

The cars were never registered in the US and last record of them are being transported to Quebec,Canada, probably for a media event/promotion. So who knows where they are now. Maybe still in Canada.
Something interesting US is the only country where pre-production/early production SVRs are never registered. Used for press and stuff but never sold.

The 3rd US SVR that Jaguar doesn't count is this one:
SAJDZ1FE5JCK52425 Santorini Black US Coupe - Never even shipped to US. So Jaguar Corporate kept it and last record of is delivery inspection in 2019 in the UK.

So if you don't count those 3 then that brings the number of US SVRs to 47. But there are even less than that on the road.

Ftyperegistry 08-15-2020 12:02 PM

Out of the 47 2018 SVRs that were delivered to US dealers only 43 are actually on the roads now.

SAJDZ1FE1JCK48789 Yulong White US Coupe - This was totaled last year, it has Grey wrap with Project 7 stripes/decals. https://poctra.com/2018-JAGUAR-F-TYP...S/SAN-DIEGO-CA

There are also 3 that have never been registered and have no service history. So either they never sold and are still sitting somewhere at a dealer or the owners that bought them never registered which some car collectors do sometimes; and are stashed away sad that they are not being enjoyed lol lol . . . Without having access to Jaguar's dealer system we have no way of knowing where these 3 are currently at.

So for all you that have a USA 2018 SVR, it is confirmed you have the rarest model year F-Type built.

FeralSVR so I previously found an SVR that was built right before yours, or most likely along with yours since its the VIN 1 number lower. Serial # JCK55632 and it caught my attention because the build info was identical to yours in Topix, with the exception that it has the Deployable spoiler option.
So I suspected it was also an SVR in British Racing Green. But since Topix did not have a color code for SVRs in British Racing Green until the 2019 model year, and the only pic I had previously been able to find was in black and white I had no way of confirming it was an SVR in BRG until I saw actual color pics of it.
Well today I got the idea of looking up the VIN on a site I had used previously when I first started tracking SVRs and found that they did have pics of it https://www.vehiclehistory.com/vin-r...DZ1FE3JCK55632
This means 2 SVRs in British Racing Green were built for the US in 2018. I think yours is cooler/more unique though because of the flat-bottom steering wheel lol.

Also thought I'd let you know that your was the second to last SVR built for the US.

Here are the pics of the other 2018 SVR in BRG. Sold at Jaguar Main Line, PA

FeralSVR 08-17-2020 10:13 AM

Good to know that I've got another twin out there! We still have a few unique differences though:
  • Flat Bottom Steering Wheel (only two SVR's in existence)
  • Bright Grille and Window Surround (only SVR in the world with Bright Trim)
  • Carbon Fiber Bumper Bar
  • 3D Carbon Fiber Rear Facia and Front Intake Trim
  • Price: $162,770 vs $156,994 - so apparently I have a few more options as well...
Thanks again for your research!
