Jaguar F-Type Predator - driving the 650bhp Aventador rival
Tuning company Viezu has pushed the F-Type’s power reserves to Aventador-bothering levels, creating the Jaguar F-Type Predator
There’s no smoke at all when we witness Viezu’s F-Type V8 R delivering 641bhp on a dyno, a blazingly noisy experience that will have you wedging index fingers into ears as the engine is wrung out. The only visible movement is that of the wheels on their rollers and the test engineer’s head as he pins the accelerator, but at its peak this 207mph car is furiously channelling all 687lb ft towards all four wheels. I'd be interested in Stuart's take on this one.

This is just VIP Design's 650bhp package you can buy from Pararnount-Performance. It includes the tune, 200 cell sport cats, headers, cat back exhaust and probably the lower crank pulley offered on Paramount's site although it doesn't explocitly say that. I'm sure Stuart will be able to provide equal numbers once his headers are available and a lower crank pulley has been developed.

Looks like they also swapped out the intercooler, the part I want out of that kit are the exhaust tips. They look like they came off a variable thrust jet fighter. The way to go would be to buy a good used V8 AWD do this, then go around spanking exotics.

The car in the pics is a RWD R, so I can't see how it can be "channeling all 687lb ft towards all four wheels"...?

It looks like a pretty nice package. 641BHP for £8100 = roughly $11,000 USD.
We've already seen 80-90 BHP gains on a 550BHP F-Type R (with pulley, tune and sport cats) which we sell as package for $2295. That will get you IRO 630-640BHP. I would respectfully submit that we're offering better value for money. The only thing I don't really understand is that if you read Timbo's thread (https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f...2/), he had his car tuned by both Viezu and GAD Tuning and in both instances didn't come near the power VelocityAP is making, and had a lot of trouble with AFRs. Paramount Performance & Viezu are pretty much one and the same, so I guess they must have figured their tuning out since then? Anyway, if I can ever get my buddy's 'R' into the shop (he is saying mid-September) we'll get the headers done and that should push us up over 650BHP before we even touch the crank pulley, and still at less than half the cost of this kit. |

How soon thereafter do you expect a V6 version of the headers to be available? |

Stuart,
How soon thereafter do you expect a V6 version of the headers to be available? I will have a prototype set for someone to fit & test. Then we'll have to go into production, which is a whole different kettle of fish, planning etc. So probably production items towards the end of the year. Just need to nail him down & get the car in here. Unless anyone else near us wants to volunteer? (really needs to be a V8) |
