Hello friends. Has anybody removed their wheel arch liners in the back? And if so, do you know if you can access the back of the Aluminum side panel? I have a small dent but the panel is covered in PPF so a pull may damage the PPF. Wondering if the PDR guy would be able to access the back of the panel through the wheel arch with the liner removed. The dent is under the piece of blue tape in the attached photo.
I have seen videos where the guy uses small pencil like probes to coax out a dent from the front only. Also sometimes using intense cold or heat can make it pop out if shallow. Obviously heat may damage your film. To massage if out from the inside will be more tedious. Here are some photos that may help. Looks like your dent is inline with the back edge of the rear window as a point of reference.
there is some room from the inside but very tight and I suspect your dent will be just where the metal roof of the bulkhead/tyre well is. And quite far back. The window drain in the picture is only half way along so it will be really far back in corner of the space in the picture. It looks way too high to be on the underside of the metal wheel well so not accessible from underneath
Looks like you can maybe access the dent by removing the trunk/boot side panel. This is consistent with some discussion on facebook. Not my photo, but looks encouraging.
I had a dent a little higher than that and my PDR guy got in through the opening behind the top of the weatherstrip where the body meets the quarter windows glass.... May not be open down to where yours is but worth checking....

this is much better, my view was only from the front. Didnt even think of accessing it from the back .. duh. Looks super easy to do now as plenty of access from the boot for your guy
Only other comment I'd make is to make sure your PDR guy has experience with Aluminum... It takes more technique than steel which is more ductile... My guys had a complete variety of tools to get almost anywhere... On my other car he drilled a small hole in the wheel well, which he plugged after, to get to a dent by the fuel door... Good luck..
