Default Rear light markings for European homologation

Dear All,
In advance, many thanks for your help.
I have imported a 2017 F-Type in France, from the USA.
For homologation purpose in France, I have changed both the head lights and rear lights, with European versions.
My head lights have a visible European marking (like this : https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marquage_E), so no problem with homologation.
However, nothing is visible on the rear lights : no E4 on plastic moldings ...
And the homologation specialists in France request a proof that my rear-lights are EU-homologated ...
Any clue ?
Best,
Pierre

There is "ECE" marking on a sticker. Also, you can try to show them the part number against Jaguar catalogue that says EU

Many thanks.

Hopefully, I have taken a photo of this sticker before mounting the new rear lights on my car.
American version has a "SAE" mention on the sticker, whilst the European version has "ECE" written on it.
But it seems unsufficient for the examinator from the French Homologation service : he expects to see the E-Mark moulded on the rear lights...

As for the front lights : I bought the new ones (EU-homologated) on the Ovoko web platform.
They have the E-Mark written in tiny letter, at the junction side with the bonnet.
Just plugged them instead of the American ones and everything worked well.

Best,

Hi,

I always thought the US version flashed red and the EU version yellow.

That's how the inspector can tell them apart, right?

Unfortunately, this is not sufficient for the French inspectors; they need the parts to show homologation markings, in order to avoid counterfeit parts…

Maybe asking you local JLR dealer to get factory notification of the way JLR have made ECE markings for the F-Type rear lights and way to identificate OEM component? They might charge you something, but i think its best method.
At least here the documents are sent directly to the authorisation / inspector to prevent somebody modifying the documents. (some inspectors here sent these kind of questions directly for the manufacturers - basicly its their job to know)
If manufacturer states that there are no other markings than sticker, then inspector cant request more and have to accept it.
EU version of F-Type have ECE certification, so you should not need complete CoC (Certification of Conformation)
