2010 XK8 coupe spare tire compartent

2010 XK8 coupe spare tire compartent
I recently purchased a 2010 XK8 coupe. There are two screw posts sticking up from the floor next to the left rear (bumper) side of the spare tire in the spare tire compartment. There must be a purpose for these and something should be covering them or attached to them because they would be a hazard when placing the spare tire back into the spare tire compartment. I have been unable to find a picture of this area. I would appreciate any help in finding out what goes there.

Welcome to the forum Doug,
You will have purchased either an XK or an XKR. The XK8 designation was used on the normally aspirated version of the earlier 1996-2006 model.
