Door lock not working on 1 door
 

Have a 2002 jaguar vanden plans XJ8. Rear door lock (on driver side) started working intermittently. Doorlock eventually completely stopped working. Any suggestions on why one doorlock would suddenly fail to operate.

Ps- fairly new to for him. I apologize if I am posting this in the wrong place.
