Quiafe LSD

So from my reading the Jag XF SV8 has a Gen 2 diff as does the XKR. On the Quaife website it only lists an LSD for jags for the XK fromm 2006 onwards. Does anyone know if this can be installed in the XF SV8 box?

Look at the above.

I had a look at that thread, but unless I'm missing something obvious (which I probably am), I can not see anything about whether the Quaife LSD fits the XF SV8.....

Have a look at this thread as it will show you what I went thru and it may possibly help?

Quaife QDF3W will fit the original 8" diff in the 4.2L XF SV8, unless the diff was replaced with a GKN unit by a dealer sometime after the build.

Brilliant, thanks.

Where is the best place to get a diff rebuild kit as I may as well do that at the same time

Never seen one. I "simply" replaced all bearings when I installed the Quaife LSD. When measuring backlash etc my diff was well within tolerances at about 100k.

I think you will have a hard time finding the actual LSD so wish you luck.

Quaife have it listed on their website as in stock. I won’t be fitting it myself. Don’t have the tools to measure the backlash etc so may as well get it done by someone. I’ll take the diff off the car though. Just need to find a company to do it.

That is great news.

Before I order the Quaife LSD, are there any obvious differences between the original diff and the GKN unit, so I can check that it wasn't replaced with GKN unit

Thanks
