Supercharger belt impacting brakes?

Hi, question for you all:
Had a engine replaced recently and they didn't align the pulleys properly for supercharger belt...belt shredded and lost supercharger. A couple of days later the breaks went out while belt was still off. Dealership says the belt somehow impacted the brakes and that's why they went out. Does that make any sense at all?
Thanks,
Chris

Only two ways I can think of:
1. The shredded belt hit a brake line and squashed or busted it.
2. The brake master cylinder lost vacuum seeing as it draws it's vacuum from a line connected to the back of the SC.

OzXFR,
Thanks, that makes sense now. Doubt it was the line squash issue, guessing that it was the vacuum issue as the belt was off for a couple of days and the brakes worked fine. Then I didn't drive for a day and they went out.

I thought the current SC cars used a gear driven vacuum pump mounted on the front of the engine?
At least my 5.0L V-8 does??

Why would the belt breaking or getting shredded tear up the super charger? I had a locked idler pulley happen on my old S Type R. Ripped the belt in two but other than that did no other damage at all? Not understanding how the belt coming apart could cause these other problems?

The only real damage was the brakes going out from the belt coming off. Once they aligned the pulleys and replaced the belt the SC was fine. PS - It was shockingly slow without the SC working...like 7-8 second 0-60 slow.

Well I am confused again as the pulleys are NOT adjustable?
They only bolt on in one position and the only thing that does move is the spring loaded tensioner.

I'm not a mechanic so just going by what I was told, the reason the belt came off according to them (Jaguar dealership service) was that the pulleys where miss-aligned when the engine was replaced and as a result the belt came off.
