Default Shifter knob replacement - X300

So my '96 XJ6 is BRG with the biscuit interior. The tan shift knob had seen better days, so I set about sourcing a replacement. Found several sources for a wooden one, was going to get one in piano black wood with the leaper and JAGUAR words on it. But at $90+shipping, I figured I'd see if a leather one was available. I decided against getting a wood grain one, because I'm positive it wouldn't have matched the surrounding wood, so I figured I couldn't go wrong with a black one, either in wood or leather.

Found a black leather one thru a place called Welsh Enterprises (welshent.com) for $20+shipping, their part number CBC-9563-LEG, description "knob shift black xj40". It came from Ohio, took two days to get here to VA, and about a minute to swap them out. Quality is pretty good, and looks exactly like the tan one, only in black. Good product, good price, and looks good too!

Thought I'd pass this info along, in case someone else was looking for a replacement shift knob, and wondering how a black knob would look with a tan interior! I actually think the black shifter knob looks better!
