So I've been reading a lot about the new ad but literally just watched the ad about an hour ago. I was laughing. I think I was laughing at myself because my mouth was wide open in shock, and I am sure I was laughing at the ad for advertising nothing. My wife hates the rebrand, too. I frequently remind myself that many of us love a certain brand or type of car for a good reason. It's what makes us happy. It's that simple.

As for being accused of such things as "hateful," "bigoted," "small-minded," and "crybaby" - I feel like we're being trolled. I mean, I admit being a crybaby when it rains and gets my cars dirty. Now moving on....

Personally, I'm keeping my FTR because it makes me happy and brings a smile to my ugly-*** face. When I wash the car, it's like therapy and I look forward to it every time. I didn't buy the brand. I'm not loyal to it. I love my car. The brand history is fascinating to me, and I learn something new about it all the time.

I'm not a fan of EV's and never have been. Although there is always an exception, I think putting all your eggs in one basket is a mistake.

I wish the best for the company. This may be a bump in the road, and maybe they will overcome it and become a much better company.

Default Jag is Dead!

I agree, I won't support anything woke or EV. I have 2015 XJ with only 20,000-miles on it (garaged in the winters) and was looking at an F-type. Might look into Aston Martin or Bentley now. I figured that Tata would ruin the brand.

Does this mean my vintage Jags are no longer classic cars, but instead, pre-op?

In fact, I don't like Harris, Trump, Democrats, Republicans, bigots, bullies or pedants. Get out of here with your lowbrow cultish ****-fighting.

Yes, Jagsandmgs, your vintage Jags are now on the wayside. I can take them off your hands for you. Just kidding, vintage Jags are no different than vintage Indian motorcycles, which by the way, have gone through bankruptcy at least three times. I believe Jaguar has traded hands at least that many times. There is no comparison between the original brand and culture that built these 'works of art' with todays modes of 'transportation'!

P.S. I love my '67 MGBEGT as well!

Can anyone tell me what is "woke" about this ad?

Is it because minorities are in it?

I'm confused.

I'm also 53, wear tweed caps, race Ducati motorcycles, was in the 82d Airborne Division, and a contractor for Naval Special Warfare SEAL Teams. I'm married, have two kids. I drink whiskey (and whisky). I'm white as they come.

But I see nothing in this ad about social justice, or racism, or anything that is actually "woke"

I just see paid actors in silly costumes and some of those paid actors are minorities (Though technically they aren't minorities if you look at the global scale. On the global scale Asians are more populous than whites. Blacks are more populous than whites).

I don't think some of you guys have any idea what woke is - and that doesn't mean I support "woke" (though it's not like it's a thing that is supported - people are 'woke' or they are 'not' woke). You see diversity on a silly ad and knee-jerk "WOKE!" when the ad has nothing to do with societal or racial diveristy - it just has different color people in it.

But kudos on the Mods for keeping this silliness in one place - the FB forums have been hijacked by people - grown men - who are upset about a telly commercial.

Better slogan, "Every man desires a Jaguar in garage, Every woman desires a Jaguar in bed"

Default I'm done with Jaguar after seeing their Ad

As a F-Type owner and one that can afford whatever new cars they come up with I am done with Jaguar! Their recent Ad showed me who they really are and who they want to appeal to and it's not me. I'm confident that the founders of Jaguar would disown their creation if they saw what it had become. You have lost a future customer and created a voice against this brand!

What a ridiculous commercial, I agree that it will bring on the extinction of the species.
I'm not against EVs I have one as a daily driver with no regrets - but I also have my Mk2 which will never go extinct.

A couple years ago, I bought a new F Pace for my wife. She loved it.
We traded it in for another in April. She loves it.

I showed her the ad. We both think it's weird and creepy.

Her next car won't be a Jaguar. Why copy weird and creepy? There are too many other brands that still have class and don't have a problem with not being creepy and weird.

So, if the ad was more...to everyone's liking, I guess...you'd have possibly been in the market for a $150k+ luxury EV? I feel like that answer is no, for most people. So, this once again begs the question, why are so many people who have no interest in buying a Jaguar so mad? This weird commercial is literally the least of their problems. I'm willing to bet that there isn't a single person who would have previously been down with paying that much for a Jag EV who is suddenly now not going to because of the ad.

LOL. We've never been interested in buying an appliance. EV's are for stupid people who fall for dumb fads.

Global EV sales are now 18% of the car market, and growing.

If 48% of the world is stupid, there's still 30% more who will buy.
