Jaguar Heritage should be able to tell you, as they have the factory build records. In the 60s, I don't think the maker plate had the colour code on it.

Have a look here, there is a photo of an E-type in Dark Blue but no photo for Indigo Blue.

Jaguar Paint Codes

Other thing to do is order both colours as touch-up paints. Not too expensive and should settle the matter.

Default Wow!

Turbo_Dash,

If the exterior pictures on-screen hue is accurate, that's a beautiful color! And a beautiful car.

Congratulations!

It looks too dark for Indigo Blue but photos can be deceptive.

As Fraser mentioned in post #2, Jaguar Heritage ( Jaguar Heritage. Contact Us ) have the original factory build records and will be able to give you a definite answer but may charge for it.

Beautiful car.

Graham

According to DuPont in 1968 thru1970. 1969 Jaguar: Color is Dark Blue: numbers are:
Lucite # 8320L Dulux #98113 similar to chip F93 ( don't have ). Numbers will have to be researched by a reputable painter. Hope this helps!

Your car looks like similar to the one in the movie "Begin Again". I am not that familiar with older jags and instantly liked the one in the movie. Do you have more photos? What is best source for background on these models? Have you just bought it?
