Mk 5 ball joints
Hello all
I think my mk5 ball joints need replacing and i was wondering if any need to knows before i start taking things apart.
I have the upper and lower ball joint kits from western jaguar.
Are there any shims or such needed for the lower ball joints?
Looking at the lower ball joint kit, it has a ball, plastic looking socket, grease cap and nut.
Is more required?

Yes, shims may be needed for the lower ball joint, I'm surprised none were included in your kit. However, the existing joint may have some already in that you can use. I think you need to query this with Western Jaguar.
