Description:

I have been driving XK-8s and have been an active forum member for nearly ten years; this is my second one. The body and interior of this car are in excellent condition. Tonneau cover included. No damage history. Several popular upgrades installed (see below). But ... I'm finding less time to devote to the car, and a few maintenance items (common items, all manageable for DIY) could use some attention (also described below).

Upgrades installed:
- Adamesh stainless steel mesh grille
- chrome instrument rings
- antenna override switch (permits lowering antenna with stereo powered)
- rear window control override switch (permits raising rear windows with top down)
- convertible top hydraulic pressure reducer (protects hydraulic hoses).

Maintenance items which could use some attention before too long:
- seepage from power steering hose, calls for hose replacement
- right side cam cover has minor leak, leading to oil smell when stopped for a period of time with engine running
- tires: about 1/3 tread remaining
- backup warning beeper is turned off... need to locate and replace defective backup sensor (one of four)
- there are some scratches in the surface of the convertible top. Cosmetic only, and not sure how they got there, perhaps a local critter, should be addressed probably by a detailing specialist.
