Greetings all, thanks for looking, and for your contributions to the Forum over time. I browsed, studied and relied on the Forum as I was selecting my F. I knew Jaguars from our 5 decades of ownership, 12 in total. I chose 10 of them based on condition, after being taught by the first seller I met, who knew them well. Prior to the F, just one other was purchased where we had the opportunity to select the color. Consequently, BRG had never before been available to us.

I read all the F brochures available at the time (2014-'16) and concluded the R was my goal, with the power, sound, and engineered handling that would prove astonishing. While I consider myself an able and skilled driver, I knew the AWD would keep me safer in the twisties nearby. And finally British Racing Green! The brochures did not convey the delightful surprise we were to have when the car was delivered -- the wonderful metal-flake treatment in the paint. We chose the black with camel insert sport seats, and awaited transport. While not critical, I had discovered a Youtube video which clearly showed that my Golf Clubs would fit in the boot!

I promised myself a 5,000 mile break-in prior to full throttle treats. By that time, I knew how the technologies were working, shifting with the paddles, playing my "tune" thru the quad pipes, reminiscent of our first gen E type. The engineers designed the active diff, stability traction and ABS systems to manage torque delivery in 1/100th of a second as detected need. While I don't count on AWD to assist me, I've known times when it steps up to take me through a corner where perhaps I was going a little hot. Jaguar established its racing dominance in the 1950's - not with power and speed - but with the first disc brakes, allowing drivers to stay on the throttle longer than competitors. The binders on my R are spectacular.

I was pleasantly surprised at the absence of Cowl Shake, found on all my past convertibles. Even my XK8 had it. The up/down ease of the convertible top is a treat too, also contrasted with our XK8, which was slower, and required use of a tonneau cover. I was surprised at the efficiency of the wind deflector, keeping the ladies' hair mostly in place, yet it doesn't interfere with the Active Exhaust playing in the stern.

Dynamic mode augments the experiences, yet I have not altered the basic configurations to challenge the engineers' wisdom. Pleasant mode works for my bride and daughter, just select D and drive it like all other Jaguars. (She does especially like freeway on-ramps!)

You'll have another 2 years of Jaguar's full-service warranty, or 85k more miles, whichever comes first! That means we have only driven it 14,800 miles, and it is regularly serviced by our dealer. No worries about anything mechanical! Warranty through Feb 2022, see evidence in photo. (parts and labor, loaner, roadside assistance, towing -- if needed -- to nearest dealer) With 3 vehicles, 2 drivers, we are ready to release this Cat to a new family. I've had my dream fun, and will apply my racing skills at the cart track! I can assist with transport, using as I did, the upper level of the truck.
