Description:

I am going to sell my 1996 VDP.  I am the third owner.
It has a bit over 129K miles.  I have an inch thick file with everything I have done to the car.
Also some records from the first 2 owners.  (They were related.  First owner was an elderly lady in California.  Then her nephew, who is in his late 70's bought the car from her and kept it in Reno NV.  Then I purchased it in September of 2009.)

The interior is mostly perfect.  Always been garage kept and I use a windshield shade every time I park outside.  The worn parts on the interior are the driver inside door handle leather, the leather handbrake handle, and the steering wheel leather.  Nothing is ripped or torn.  The headliner is stapled up.  It works.  Just didn't get around to replacing it.
The engine runs very strong.  I have the Andy bracket installed.

Recent work includes replacing the cam cover gasket, spark plug well gaskets, spark plugs and coil packs at 124,640 miles.
The alternator was rebuilt 12-23-2019.
The A/C is so cold that I have to turn it down, or I will freeze.
Radio works well.  Speakers could use replacing.  CD changer is not working.  I removed it and will include it.
Clock does not work.
Seat memory function works occasionally.
New hood and trunk struts.
I repaired the wire harness that controls the trunk function.  I spliced every wire and it works perfectly.
The shift interlock has been removed.
New water pump and new belts at 109K miles.
New fuel pump at 109,567 miles.
Low side A/C hose 110,133 miles.
New thermostat 111,894.
New condenser and dryer 117,395.
New upper & lower radiator mounts and new condenser top mounts 124,649.
Andy Stodart crank position bracket 124,649.
Oil breather kit to be installed prior to sale.
I am going to replace the front and rear brake pads prior to sale.
Tires are Firestone Firehawk.
I also have installed newer taillights from a 2000 model XJ8.  They are not smoked like the 96-97 tail lights.
I have a box of extras that I took from a Jaguar salvage yard.  Tail lights, relays, fuses, A/C vents.
All glass is in great condition.  Windows are tinted to help preserve the interior.
A few dings here and there.

Here's what does not work:
Sunroof-It makes a pop sound.  I have heard it's an easy fix.  I just haven't gotten around to doing it.  I may do it prior to sale.
Cruise control- I will replace the rubber vacuum actuator prior to sale.
CD changer
I have the infamous Jaguar rattle in the front and rear suspension.  I have replaced some components over the recent years.  I can provide a list of what and when.
That's all I can remember.
The clear coat on the horizontal surfaces isn't the greatest, but since it's white, you can't tell from a distance.
I'm not going to put a bunch of photos on here.  I will send photos of whatever you want upon request. I just put a couple of pics for now.  The car is dirty, but I didn't want to post the ad without photos.
I'm really not sure what it's worth.  I just want it to go to someone who will love it.
The reason I am selling is that I just bought a 2004 XK8 convertible!
