Over $15,000.00 in official Jaguar OEM parts (over $3,750.00 a year!), mostly done at cost at Barrett Jaguar Boerne, which means Jaguar Dealer Certified Tech labor. This is one of the most well maintained XK8s on eBay for sale right now. For a fraction of it’s original $84,999.99 MSRP value, it is a refreshed XK8 with almost all new, or new old stock, Jaguar parts professionally by the Jaguar Dealer. Parts that were unavailable are top quality OEM aftermarket parts, which I installed following the Jaguar Workshop manuals to the letter. While not a concurs example, overall, it is mechanically excellent. I have verified the timing tensioners are perfect. This XK8 has perfect, solid timing tensioners (see pictures).



Includes 2 sets of keys, (one Black master key, one Green valet key), original documentation and manuals, workshop manual, original front plate license holder, and a phone-book thick of official Barrett Jaguar Boerne receipts. Some work is STILL under warranty from Jaguar! This example was driven less than 2,500 miles a year under my ownership. At the Buy It Now price, I will include around $400.00 in extra spare official Jaguar OEM parts, including matching paint, and NEW OEM parts. Plus, I will also include a fitting car cover, around a $100.00 value.



In short, this XK8 is in great shape for another twenty years of driving pleasure. So, why am I selling my XK8? I am raising money to pay for a master’s and doctorate degree. As much as I love this Jaguar, I have to pay for classes and textbooks, and they aren’t cheap.

Known Issues



At over several hundred dollars in diagnosis costs alone and several months (yes, months!) of labor, Barrett Jaguar Boerne’s shop foreman, Frank Banda, tore the entire interior apart and recommended to replace the hydraulic latch plate which contains several latch sensors (they quoted $7,200.00 for just the part, however, a used old stock one was found for ~$520.00). This unfortunately did not fix the convertible top sequencing with rear windows. The convertible top works, but sequence confuses computer, and it requires an Allen key to lock when raising again. The shop foreman wanted another $600.00 to investigate the problem further.

The rear windows no longer retract as the relays have been pulled by Jaguar Boerne. We have not put them back.

Front left headlamp fogs in humid weather

Headrests do not lift up and down

The sun-visor mirror covers fall out, however, with gentle pressure illuminate and work fine

Rear main seal and front main seal minor oil leaks. The Jaguar foreman told us it is not major, and since we drive it so infrequently, we have not replaced these seals.

The boot (trunk) occasionally will not fully close. The latch is temperature sensitive. * Recently fixed, latch works correctly!

Minor paint oxidation above the top windshield frame

Minor scratches on the front fender, and around the car, as well as wear marks on the interior, consistent with age
