Description:

This is an edited version of my earlier post offering 2 dealer-level diagnostic devices for sale.

When I acquired my first XJR6 in 2013 and a second one in 2016, I was determined to find a genuine Jaguar IDS software to help with DIY troubleshooting and engine tuning, and as an aid to my mechanic who had no prior knowledge of modern classic Jaguars.  Through this forum, I came to know veteran member who is a Jaguar specialist tuning workshop in Australia, which happened to be offering a few genuine VCMs with OBD cables for members to grab.  Eventually, he helped me put together a Jaguar scanning device loaded with IDS/SSD on a ThinkPad that works with the VCM and OBD cable.  I subsequently also bought an Autologic device in the Assist PLus series that could read X350 (my other Jaguar), later Jaguar models as well as many other non-Jaguar cars.  The coverage depends on the previous subscription on a brand by brand basis (so the larger capacity the more expensive is the subscription, which can be updated on an annual basis).  Now that I have sold my XJR6s, and my X350 has less reliance on the factory scanner, I myself no longer need these scanners, so I wonder if there is any interest out there in acquiring them.  The two devices are different in terms of coverage, as follows:
- the IDS V118.5 can read - Jaguars from 1994 to 2009- Land Rover from 2006 to 2009
- the SSD V148.7 can read - Jaguars from 1994 to 2016- Land Rover from 2006 - 2016

I attach photos of this VCM kit and an extract from a long email from the original seller to me giving advice on how to avoid non-genuine or clone products that folks may come across in the market from time to time.

As regards the Autologic AssistPlus Device, it can read 11 marques, as follows
   BMW, Citroen, Dacia, Ford,
   Jaguar, Land Rover, Mercedes,
   Peugeot, Porsche, Renault, Volvo

However, as this device was intended to be my DIY tool for scanning first generation Jaguars enabled with OBD access, and offer help to buddies owing other cars, the support contracts expired in 2018 and have not been updated since.  So both scanners are ideal for scanning older models.  These days, dealer scanners are model-specific and dealers would have little interest upgrading their diagnostic tools to fix older models.  I attach some self-explanatory photos.

Both dealer-level devices are in good working order; they are hard-to-find and are not cheap.  My purchase prices for them were USD1110 for the VCM kit and USD2960 for the Autologic device.  I don't know their latest market value but please feel free to give me an offer.  The VCM kit is Jaguar and Land Rover specific; the Autologic device has wider application.  The latter is more expensive than those one can find in the market because it can read multiple car models across 11 European Car Manufacturers, so it would make a perfect tool for someone with car collection across many brands, or a large motor workshop.  So if you have any questions or wish to know how much is shipping before considering making me an offer, please PM me with your intended shipping region, but please note that these devices are heavy so postage would not be cheap.  Thank you.
