Description:
1988 Canadian Spec XJS Coupe for sale (dashboard is metric, no automatic seat belts). Mileage shown is conversion from Kilometers. Extensive work done. No rust other than a couple bubbles at rear window.
Current issues: AC updated and charged but not blowing very cold. Windshield pitted from age, and leaks. Tires are very old.
Runs great, see below for list of updates. Interior good condition, ski slope needs a good refinish, some sort of clear coat on rear seat, head liner loose at rear (new material included)
Numerous parts, old and new including fuel pump, etc.
New windshield and gasket kit being sold separately at $1,000 = my cost.
Paint is good, at some time rear quarter was repainted but in all the time i worked on the car never saw any signs of damage. JAGUAR XJS

Fuel tank and sump cleaned and sent out for resealing; tank inside and out, sump inside only (fixed seam leak on tank)

New rear transmission mount
Replaced seals on 1-2 accumulator in transmission (fixed 1-2 shudder at low speed)
Transmission serviced
New transmission modulator – model correct (red/black stripe, not generic yellow stripe)
New water pump and correct thermostats (with check ball)
New radiator tank (fender mounted, rusted out)
New AIR pump
New AC compressor with conversion to latest freon
New plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and pickup
New cooling fan
Rebuilt AFF
New belts (all)
New air filters
Upgraded dash lights to LED (very bright)
Re-secured gas tank evaporator tube along tunnel
Cooling system overflow –
- line changed to clear vinyl to make it easier to verify cooling system working
- fill line added to overflow tank to allow topping off as required without removal of radiator cap
Oil and Filter – current running 10/40; recommended for hot temps, oil pressure very good.
