Howdy Y'all, for sale is my 1988 Jaguar XJS
Hess & Eisenhardt convertible. She drives well but needs a little TLC, I just don't have the time anymore ( health and family stuff) but I did maintain to the best of my ability.

Here is an absolute truthful testimony as God is my witness. I was having an issue with the engine running too hot, I added a.bypass valve to.heater core which works and solved the issue at the time. She still runs hot as most of these do.and perhaps new thermostats with a lower temp release gauge could resolve( have genuine jaguar replacements just didn't install), worst case the swap out of the cooling system with a modern v12 solves this . I just don't have the time or energy anymore otherwise I would do this.  The price reflects this as I'm not looking to"get rich" or sell a bad product. I want you to understand so there is no misunderstanding
The biminy cover is original and in fair condition , two small holes, probably best to replace with new
the mechanism to drop down the biminy is in perfect working order , latches and locks as intended. some little paint chips here and there , one dent in the rear under the trunk area near V12. Right side front shock minor bushing needs to be replaced. the shocks are strong . its the rubber bushing , most likely the left needs replacing also. If something goes on one side I tend to fix the other just to give notice to that. 

now that is out of the way, the engine is magnificent well maintained, transmission smooth shifts, brakes perfectly .new tires , new battery, in the trunk the original covers are not present so when you open trunk you will see the fuel pump etc. they didn't come with the car when I bought. I am the second owner , the paint color name is metallic beige.

i would not say this is a "project car" as she drives and is currently registered and Insured I would say if you like it as is as I do and don't mind the issues except for the Cooling and bushing that need to be addressed then this is a score. if you are a perfectionist and want to.restore this to showroom quality, then by all means

Overall this a rare vehicle I believe only 2500 were made, has potential to be a show stopper but I am selling it as is-where is. I have disclosed all known issues so help me God. Thank you for taking the time to read my ad.
