Description:

I am trying to source either a "pollen filter housing" part #MJD6865AA, or the "pollen filter kit" part #JLM20783. This is for the North American, left hand drive market, for the Jaguar XK-8. The housing is part #4 in the diagram attached, or the kit is part #1. If you have either of these parts available, please contact me. Thank you for your time.

Thank you HepCat1, but that part is not what I am looking for. That is the air intake housing, not the pollen filter housing. The part(s) I am in search of is/are #MJD6865AA/ JLM20783. Additionally, I already wrote SNG Barratt and their rep told me they do not have the pollen filter housing in stock. If you know of someone with the right part, do reach out again! Thanks!

I just ordered the filter housing:
https://www.sngbarratt.com/us/#!/Eng...3/11107/1/10/1

I had been searching for a LHD pollen filter housing forever, I was pointed to this with the information that it is the correct part.

I can let you know when it arrives

Sure, that would be much appreciated! Also, if you can take a picture of it too when it arrives and post it, that would be greatly appreciated, possibly with the MJD6863AA pollen filter installed (see this below).

HepCat1, have you received the SNG Barratt part yet? What's it like? Any update? Thanks!

Yes, it #6 is as pictured. What I did was to simply turn it around and place some high quality cleanable filter media between it and the firewall (it has a recess so this fits nicely).
I think this is actually a substantial improvement over the standard set up, which is known for allowing the filter to get wet then moldy. The consensus seems to be there were so many of these problems with the standard set up that they stopped installing it in USA models.
I have plenty of filter media if you want to try this I will send you some.
If the interest is in filtering the fresh air without constant maintenance (this is a bit of a PIA to get to) I think this is a good solution.
