Description:
Set of XK Jupiter wheels. To the best of my knowledge these were the "base" XKR wheel on the 2007-2009 XKR but will work on any 2007-2014 models. Purchased as nearly new takeoffs in 2007 but never used and stored since that time. One of the rear spokes has a small nick (see picture) ; other than this they are immaculate with no defects. These are not refurbished but original takeoffs. The fronts are 8.5x19 part #59823 and the rears 9.5x19 part #59824. $1200 or offers plus shipping which I can quote if needed. Located in Knoxville TN.
I would like the wheels and will gladly pay the $850 - please reach out and we'll figure out the particulars, get you paid and get me some wheels, my contact info on last reply or through forum ... call Sunday is fine, up till 11:00pm EST any evening.
Being new to the forum, I had a few faux-pas, listing too much personal information on my signature, listing too much personal information on my replies to posts - kind of a 'read the instructions' after the installation is complete kind of guy, at 65 I'm getting harder to train.
All that aside, I reached out with Private Messages to you on the wheels and being that I got no reply, I am not sure if you didn't get the PM's because I had not met requirements to send them or if you have chosen to ignore them because you think I am a flake. I see you've been on the forum a few times since I PM'd so that's why I am posting.
Regardless, I am posting here in the hopes you reach out and we can get a deal done on these wheels. If you did get my PM's you see where I offered $1300 for the wheels, shipped (you lowered your asking price to $850) and I stated I'd work with you regarding payment so that you felt comfortable and had money well in hand prior to shipping.
The FEDEX estimate was right around $50 per wheel to ship, that would leave you roughly $1100 in your pocket, so I am really wondering why you haven't responded as that betters your lowered price by $250, you'd have the funds well ahead of shipping.
I bought my XKR in September from a Hemmings listing, that upon further investigation went back to a website listing for https://www.deluxecarstorage.com/sales-inventory and traced the car by the VIN# to when the car sold on https://bringatrailer.com/ about 8 months earlier. Further investigation had the owner living in a $3.5m condo in Manhattan and showed he bought an Aston Martin and was selling the 2007 Jaguar XKR through the storage facility he used in Manhattan, NY.
Very, very unlike me to take a leap of faith and wire six figures sight unseen but I felt about as comfortable as I could prior to doing so, having spoken to the folks at Deluxe numerous times, to the shipper in NY several times and so on ... I will say I was relieved when the car was in my driveway as it was actually in better condition than I had expected. The wheels were as shown, curbed to hell and back, first owner was a woman doctor on a Jaguar Lease, we're all blaming her ... and it also explains the little doggie claw marks on the trim across the bottom of the driver side door panel where it meets the window ... I can imagine a pampered pet riding on her lap, taking in the air ... all stuff that can be dealt with.
So I am not understanding how my wanting to purchase the wheels has been met with complete silence, I'm the one sending funds to you. All the more puzzling as I did increase my offer throughout the non-answered communications, so hats off to you for your superior negotiation skills.
In my PM's (which I am not sure you received or ignored) I asked that if you absolutely did not want to sell the wheels to please let me know as a courtesy so I could move on.
I am asking that again, but I am really hoping that we can get a deal done. The Jupiter wheels that came with the car have had a quickie repair and spray from a local guy that comes around to the car lots a dealer buddy of mine put me on to, he touched them up and painted anthracite grey and I fitted with Continental all season - snows, I am retired, I only drive 4-5000 yearly, I don't go out if it's bad, I don't need to. I turned in my 2019 Lincoln Continental lease early because the condo association was giving me grief for parking it outside (I have a couple Honda 1200's and the Jaguar in the garage) and the Jaguar is my driver, no need for a fleet of cars for the small amount of driving I do.
That said, I want to get a set of wheels in proper shape and put my Summer season Dunlop's back on them for the summer. Custom wheels are sharp, there area few pair that will look stellar on the Jaguar, but curb one or take a chunk out of it in five years and good luck finding one to replace it, you're buying another complete set.
All that said, I am making my final plea for you to reach out and get this deal done and NOW I am offering you $1400 for the wheels, SHIPPED. That's your original $1200 asking price and $200 for you to ship them. If you accept, my only request is that you package them expecting the absolute worst so that they survive the journey from TN to OH.
You tell me how you'd like payment and we'll get it done, I need to feel comfortable too ... and again, if they're not available, please let me know that and I'll move on.
I don't want to be out stretching her XKR legs (I don't drive much but I can always find a stretch of road to clean out the carbon) and have a chunk of reconditioned wheel fall off, I don't want some re-conditioner's interpretation of the correct color, that's always just a little off. I'd really like a set of factory wheels in great shape. You'll have your money in hand and secure.
Please reach out either way and let me know, if I can't acquire your set and decide to go aftermarket I need to get moving, the wheels I have my eye on are dwindling fast because of supply chain issues, and 5x108 isn't the most popular configuration - offset becomes and issue ... that's why I am trying my tail off to grab this set from you.
Thanks for your time, hope to hear some good news to start 2022! ... Eric

Good Morning Eric,
I do apologize for missing your messages and glad I was alerted to your recent post via e-mail. The wheels were sold long ago and I now see that there is a way to indicate as sold so my apologies again. I hope you're able to find another set !
