I was wondering if you're happy with those BBS Montreal wheels. I have an XJ Sport with the 'aluminium' factory wheels, and I was thinking of replacing them with a set of 20"ers like yours. plus I believe I commented on your page once before so that's why I came here. I just wanted to know if these wheels are easy to bend, etc... Would be great to hear a little bit about them.
Just want to say "HI" to another XKR 100 Coupe owner. I am in Southern California and it is cool to get in touch with fellow rare car owners. So how many of us are part of this forum? Just the three of us right now?
BTW - what's the number of the DVD that you use for your navigation system? My car didn't come with one and I'd like to at least put something in there, even if it's older...thanks!
I was surfing eBay (I wanted either an XJR or XKR) and found this one down in Ft Lauderdale (had been a repo from VA though). I started reading about it and figured...dang...now was the time to buy a super Jag!!! I worked a deal with the dealer to allow me to sell my MINI in time and bought the XKR 100. I appreciate the rarity of it (I've been fascinated by vintage cars for years, and own a 1929 Ford Model A Phaeton) and just got my new VA plates on Saturday "1 OF 30" :-) Anyway, I absolutely love the car and aside from a few electrical issues that I've posted about on the forum, it's as super as I thought it would be. My wife loves it too, so I'm good to go with that...I'll probably own this one for a while... :-)
No worries. I work silly hours, but I'm blessed that they're just during the work week! (Better than my last job that had travel for months on end...egads...) Anyway, ironically, when I first saw the MINI Coopers come out, I wanted one...since 2001. At the time, I had my first Jaguar, and since my wife wouldn't let me have the kids in the MINI (we even test drove several) I eventually upgraded to another Jaguar. Finally, baby #4 came along and since we couldn't fit four carseats in the back of an S-Type, she allowed me to get my MINI! That was back in July 2008. Last month, I finally got tired of getting my teeth rattled over every bump in the road (my MINI was very modified and slightly lowered) so I decided to go back to another Jaguar. (Incidentally, my wife's uncle just retired as GM of a Jag dealership in Oregon...I always carried my Jaguar Mont Blanc pen he gave me years ago, and felt kind of out of sorts with it in my MINI...)
