    Hi Duke

I am probably not the best person to ask, as I prefer the Mechanical Fan as was fitted to the Car when manufactured

So best to ask that question to someone who has since changed to Electric and then you can weigh up the pros and cons before you make that decision

    I can get this for $255.NZD - . $168 USD

    What do you recommend?
Wait until I have the car.... then get the E-fans?
Buy the standard replacement - quick fix?

Hello OB... "The WOZ" sent me!

WOZ has taken on the bulk of guiding me thru restoring an XJS I cam across in NYC. I am very thankful///

I'm wondering if you have a few minutes to walk me thru an issue I'm having bleeding brakes, on a 1990 XJS? I call her "CherryPie"... I read the restoration writings you offered on your XJS,,,, and I think you had gotten involved in MY post a little while back,,, when I was trying to decided whether I aughta take CherryPie on,,, about 2 or so months ago? Anywho,,,

I've read two of your AMAZING and very detailed posts on the subject of bleeding brakes and low pressure lines to actuator - but I just wanted to get your take on what Im looking at and hopefully some direction.

We can do this here OR my personal email is jayharris85@gmail.com?

    Hope to hear from ya!

    Hi Mikeyxjs

That sounds good news but if you're going to take the Valve block apart, you need to be really careful as just the weight of one of those valve is enough to break the wiring.

Also get an ultrasonic cleaner, its really the only way to do the job.

    Good luck

Many thanks very encouraging I've also had some great tips from another forum member by email and I am going to attempt it soon we only use the car on Sunny Summer days so it's not had much use lately and commitment wise I might have to leave it a while but I am determined to do it I've had it since 1990 so I must like it!

    Al,

Good afternoon! I hope you've had a good weekend.

Hypothetically (or maybe not....!) what would it take for you to feel confident about your braking systems again?

    OB,

I still think you're better putting the Jaguar 16" lattice on because of tyre availability. They look exactly they same. However, if you do want to keep it original, this might be ideal:

Hi Al Thanks for the info in the Pirellis, I will try a set this spring. I am in central british Columbia in a small town called Clinton. Where are you family relatives located? Yes, it gets bloody cold here and my old injuries from riding bucking horses and crashing planes plague me when it's cold. I must send you my other book, you will enjoy it. Its called She's downhill and in the shade and went bestseller in Canada. Cheers mate
